We always have cat litter in it for absorbance. Don't fill it too full. We only use it for one night. It was a good buy and worth the money

Answer:	well you could filter salt water with it, but it still wouldn't be potable to humans =)

Answer:	You'll have to go on the data sheet from the manufacturer on the filter fiber diameter since no consumer can reasonably measure the filter tube diameters. And you'll have to do research on bad virus sizes to determine if those viruses will be blocked. But I'll say as a consumer of this filter over twelve days on the trail, serving 4 people (48 people-days) on the AT, no gastro-issues. And the filtering flow rate is amazingly fast.

Answer:	Everything that you see illustrated. There are two reservoirs, the filter and the hose. The only thing not included is the optional carbon filter which isn't neccessary. If you do opt to purchase the carbon filter, keep in mind that it slows down the filtration time drastically.

Answer:	We found the ph to be around 9-9.25. We filter into a large glass container throughout the day, so with it sitting in that, it comes out around 8.5 or so. We filter throughout the day usually 10-12 times and the filter lasts about 1 1/2 months before the ph starts going down.

Answer:	The Coconut Secret ALIVE Coconut Oil is made through a CENTRIFUGE process, which is different from cold-pressed, wet milled or expeller-pressed oils. Answer:	The jars are a beautiful deep blue glass. I actually save them to store other foods and things (safety pins, buttons, eye glass cleaners, etc.) afterwards. Too pretty to throw away. And the coconut "alive" is excellent. Best I've found.

Answer:	No, you need to plumb in the water line. It is on our counter and the water source is not nearby, so we ran a water line through the wall and into the kitchen.

Answer:	This unit uses the standard ice maker diameter hose. It is best to put the the supplied valve as close to source as possible. You would need a t adapter BEFORE the supplied valve in order to split off two ways to the fridge and to the valve. This t adapter is not supplied and the supplied valve may not fit your American piping. Be prepared to make adjustments to the installation. Installation was not hard, but patience and a trip to the hardware store should be expected. It is important to make the water split before the valve because the flow will have to be turned off many times during installation, if there is a leak and when flushing the filters. Otherwise, you are cutting water off the fridge unnecessarily.
