Question:	Is this filter an epinl20 or epinl
Answer:	No. Top and bottom rails have to be cut to length, then assembled with side rails in tub enclosure. Glass door hardware then has to be put on doors, and doors put in place. Assembly is not hard but several things are critical. Make sure top and bottom rails are measured and cut SEPARATELY, top and bottom measurements can vary significantly. Do not cut side rails. Have a ceramic drill bit if you have to drill through tile, do not use standard drill bit. Do not drill bottom rail into tub, use silicone to secure it in place.

Answer:	Top and bottom track, (top track has 2 different profiles and can be presented in 2 different looks). 2 thick heavy glass doors. The only thing mine didn’t come with is the silicone caulking which is required for installation.

Micron Rating Explanation

Answer:	I believe filters depends on the filter threads of your lens and not the type of lenses. FYI I used it for my Fuji X-T2 mirrorless lenses.

Answer:	Depending on the version of the lens - it can be E60 (60 mm) for earlier version, E55 for the F2.8 ASPH, or E46 for the current F3.4 one. The front of the lens usually has an inscription specifying filter size.

Answer:	To my knowledge you have to have a dual line filter. One side is for the dsl and the other is for the phone. There should be a phone jack somewhere in your home or you have a cable modem in which case your phone is connected directly to the jack in the back of the modem.

Answer:	I had a similar issue; I used a cutting wheel on a grinder and cut to fit. The top and bottom rails are quite long so be prepared to cut off a few inches.

Answer:	My guess is that it was rated at up to 5 years based on the 20,000 gallon rating. The additional KDF filter media not present in most 6 month fridge filters (most are simple carbon granule filters) also has bacterial properties that allows it to be used safely longer, but if your incoming water has problems it might not be wise to use it for 5 years. Legal stuff and all that = no 5 year statement. I used one of these for 4 years and then cut it open. No signs of any problems. Everything looked clean (not that there couldn't be microscopic problems and my city water is already pretty good). While I liked the filter, I bought it for $30 back then. It would be ridiculous to pay $130 as shown now (which I assume is a temporary price hike).

Answer:	The 5-year expected life of the EPINL30 is based on a maximum usage of 1500 gallons annually. High levels of sediment or iron in the water supply may clog the filter and reduce its life.

Answer:	The filter housing alone is 10 inches long.

Answer:	I would just use a strong tape. Mine is just on the floor next to it to keep the refrigerator closest to the wall.

Question:	How do you get rid of the metallic taste? Ice from fridge has definite taste and I ran a few gallons of our tap water ( which has no taste) thru it
Answer:	the IC-100A will fit the same size line as the IC-102 but you will not use any of the connecters as the lines fit directly into the filter and are held there by quick connectors.

Answer:	Mine only had push in fittings at both ends for plastic pipe. Works great with plastic but you may have copper and need adapters. I recall at one time when I worked in a hardware store, they came with threaded adapters.

Answer:	this Level 1 rated filter is a .5 to 1 micron

Answer:	No I dint think so. Since you already have the lime and calcium buildup You need some type of remover and then you have to get a soft water filter system.

Answer:	Most good filters will remove plastic taste from the water but only for the water that comes into the filter. If the bad pipe is downstream from the filter, it can't do anything for it. If you have a plastic taste from the piping, you should replace the water line. Proper plastic pipes do not make the water taste, there is something wrong.
Question:	Can the filters be replaced? Or is this unit disposable
Answer:	I use it under the kitchen sink in my motor home, the water comes out clean and it tastes better than water from the tap, if your water comes out brown you may have problems wit a rusty line somewhere.

Question:	What is the pressure drop across the filter? What kind of a flow can one expect? What if one has a couple of showers going simultaneously
Answer:	I am on city water, we get lots of calcium scale. So I am using a calcium filter right after the meter (to keep scale out of all my pipes) then a carbon under sink filter for taste. I don't care if my boiler or toilet water tastes good, but want better taste out of the sink, dishwasher, ect.
Question:	If the valve is in the 'off' or 'bypass' position can you change the filter without having water spray everywhere
Answer:	If you use the right Carbon filter with this housing, it will reduce lead. As sold here, it will not. In a water purification system for drinking water, you would want one prefilter stage (like this) and at least one carbon filter stage (this housing with a good carbon filter would work). Your flow rate, intended use, and other factors will affect which system you should choose. This is sold as a whole-house filter, not a drinking water system.

Answer:	It uses the standard 10 inch filters that are pretty much universally available including Dupont, Culligan, Micronex, and many others.
Question:	Has anyone else had a drop in water pressure after installing this filter
Answer:	Any standard 10" replacement cartridge can be used with this filter housing. The "Frequently Bought Together" section has a sample of filters available. I use a sentiment cartridge ahead of a charcoal cartridge (in 2 separate filter housings) to remove particulates and odors from my water. Works very well.

Question:	Just received. It appears a lot of water bypasses the filter, can someone confirm this is not the case? Mine is just like customer uploaded photo
Answer:	Not a filter, a water treatment cartridge. Rated at 10gpm by the manufacture, a small amount of the water flow is diverted down into the cartridge through a single hole in the elevated tab, in the center of the tee. The polyphosate is slowly dissolved and a small amount of treated water flows back up and out 3 small holes around the elevated tab. According to the manufacture it only takes 2-3 parts per million to treat for scale. A little bit will do ya.
Question:	Does this help with water spots on glasses and scaling on bathroom fixtures
Answer:	We have a lot of calcium in our well water. The heat from the hot water tank is what causes the minerals to form scale. We placed this on the cold water side of the hot water tank and noticed a big improvement in water quality, especially on shower doors and dish washer. I have changed it twice now. The first time at 3 mos because the info says it can clean up existing scale in pipes and fixtures. The bottom line is if your water is very hard that will affect how much benefit you get from this product. So will you be happy with a 50% improvement in quality? I know I am cleaning faucet screens a lot less. Still have a jug of vinegar around though! Hope this helps.
Question:	GPM seems to low. I have 2 Tankless units, EACH one does 9 GPM
Answer:	we have an electric tank less that is rated at 4.5 GPM. We have very hard water in this part of MA and also have a well. We have been in this house for 30 years and have had problems with pipes rotting away. When we installed the electric tank less we installed this filter also. We used the heater for a few months and than had the plumber perform the maintenance suggested by the tank less mfg. It was clean as a whistle. Our flow rate is not as high as yours but if you had one in line with each heater - i would think it would work fine. Our heater used 120A for 4.5 GPM - if yours is electric it most use a lot of power! For our use I am very satisfied with the filter and given our water quality situation and how clean the heater was - i would highly recommend this filter.KR in MA
Question:	Can this system be installed with the filter in the horizontal position (copper pipe is running vertically
Answer:	In my opinion, if this is collecting any particles before getting into Tankless water heater, the particle should fall in vertical direction so filter should be installed in vertical direction. I installed my filter in vertical direction before cold water is getting in to the tankless. In order to get a right answer, it would be the manufacture because they are the one who designs the filter.
