Answer:	I'm sure there is. As I recall, the fitting on the filter is a 1/4" push-to-connect tube fitting. You would need to identify the thread on the copper end and buy a fitting with a matching female thread on one end and a 1/4" push-to-connect tube on the other end. Then use a short length of 1/4" polyethylene tube between the two push-to-connects. Take the filter to home depot and ask for help in the plumbing department.
Question:	Can the fxwtc filter be used in place of the fxutc filter
Answer:	It doesn't really need any adaptor. You can cut the existing hose in half, the one from the water source to ice maker. The ends of this filter are made so that you kind of grip and twist to get a nice seal. The directions are good and it is easy. Just make sure you read them....and follow them. :)
Question:	Is this a 2 pack or are there just 1 in the pack at the given price
Answer:	I'm sorry I didn't attempt to do it myself as my fridge/freezer was too heavy for me to move it to get behind it where the filter is attached to the fridge. Someone did it for me. Best get an obliging plumber or builder. It seemed very simple and took only about 10-15 mins. You must turn off the tap first that is connected to the fridge. Then at the fridge end, simply cut off the cable with the old filter - don't try to undo the old filter; it is quite impossible. My fridge has come supplied with a very long cable - enough to have it cut off every six months to replace the filter. The new filter is attached to the fridge cable at an upright position. (You know which way is up from the print on the new filter.) You have to remove the blue clip around the new filter, then insert the fridge cable into it and push as far as the cable will go (about an inch) and then put the clip back to secure the cable. Have a large bowl nearby to catch surplus water dripping out of the old cable. There are instructions with the filter. Get a strong person to do it. Keep the new filter in the upright position behind the fridge with the tape advertised as "no more nails". Buy the red coloured one - not the blue which is not as strong. After connecting up the new filter, you must run the water through the fridge until the water is completely clear. May take several pints. The carbon in the filter will blacken the water and needs to be washed away before ready to drink. To move the fridge without damaging the kitchen floor, use a cardboard sheet under the feet of the fridge to push it out if the fridge is against a wall like mine is. Remember to turn the tap back on once the new filter is secured. Good luck!

Answer:	My guess is that it was rated at up to 5 years based on the 20,000 gallon rating. The additional KDF filter media not present in most 6 month fridge filters (most are simple carbon granule filters) also has bacterial properties that allows it to be used safely longer, but if your incoming water has problems it might not be wise to use it for 5 years. Legal stuff and all that = no 5 year statement. I used one of these for 4 years and then cut it open. No signs of any problems. Everything looked clean (not that there couldn't be microscopic problems and my city water is already pretty good). While I liked the filter, I bought it for $30 back then. It would be ridiculous to pay $130 as shown now (which I assume is a temporary price hike).

Answer:	I use them to prevent water spots while washing vehicles. I didn't notice any difference in effectiveness there. I did notice a drop in pressure (compared to no filter) with the Amazon Basics one... need to switch back to camco to see if there's a difference (I simply don't remember). Both work equally well for removing hard water spots and have plenty of pressure. The Amazon one had a splash of black crud upon first usage (camco didn't).... but I know you're supposed to flush all of these before use.

Answer:	It will remove much of the chlorine, however many municipality used chloramine these days which it will not remove. In order to remove flouride you must do reverse osmosis.

Question:	Where do you install this thing? does it have to be under the house
Answer:	I use this filter for the entire house. Thus, I have my plumber install it near my house water main entry, after the water meter & water pressure regulator. Since I don't trust the shut off valve on the top of the filter plastic housing, I ask my plumber to install 2 quarter-turn ball valves -- one in each side of the housing. Before I change the filter, I will shut off both valves first -- not water comes into the filter and no water flows back to the filter; then, I turn the value on the top of the filter housing to release the pressure. Next, I use the wrench to loosen the transparent housing. Hope this helps. The most important thing is that you need 2 good quality ball valves on both side of the filter assembly. Having these 2 valves, you can change the filter easily as well as replace the entire filter housing assembly with ease.
Question:	Can be installed outdoor
Answer:	It would be subject to freezing in cold climates, otherwise I do not see a reason why it can't be installed outdoors. The plastic housing would likely degrade over time in direct sunlight so a shady location would be better.
Question:	If PVC pipe is used in the well house, can this be attached using that type of pipe and fittings
Answer:	I used silicone gasket compound on the fittings that screw into the filter housing instead of teflon tape to make sure they would not leak. I purchased a Culligan mounting bracket to help support the filter housing since the pipe is cpvc. I also added by-pass valves and pipe so that if I need to replace the filter housing I will still have water. A few dollars more, but I will always have water.

Answer:	The FXHTC filters at 25 microns. Chlorine taste and odor are greatly reduced. The filter is not designed to be used with microbiologically unsafe water. As far as the particulates contained in chlorine treated water, you will need to check with the manufacturer (GE).
Question:	will this work on ge gxwh30c
Answer:	This filter will work on the GE GXWH30C. I am not sure that the #01 at the end is significant. The filter is approximately 4" in diameter, about nine inches long.
Question:	what is the micron level for this filter
Answer:	Im not sure. I live in the country and use well water. So, this one (The GE) I was hoping for about 20 micron, then I have two more smaller ones after that one is 10 micron and the other is 3. If you are on city water anything is better than nothing and when you get ready to replace either Home Depot or Ace Hardware will have an assortment, marked as to what size they are. As far as getting the filter off, I dont have a clue. Two or three changes and it becomes very difficult to remove. Ive tried teflon tape, petroleum jelly and a liquid silicone. Nothing helps. One of the parts should be made of metal. The two plastic parts make for some difficult times in removing the old filter. Buy some extra O rings so you can change them out when the original becomes stretched, and it will.

Answer:	The EPWO4 is a high flow whole water filtration system with 1" plumbing connections. The filter life and capacity varies depending on the local water conditions and the volume of water used.

Answer:	The maximum psi allowed with this unit is 100psi. Keep in mind that if you are on a municipal water supply and the psi during the day exceeds 80psi it may rise overnight when less people are calling for water from the municipal supply. In this case we recommend installing a pressure reducing valve in conjunction with this system to verify the pressure never exceeds 100psi.

Question:	Can this product be used on the hot water side of a sink
Answer:	This unit it designed for incoming cold water provided by your city water tap or your water well. It can NOT be used on hot water pipes however, it can be installed on the cold water pipe entering your hot water heater. If your hot water heater contains rust, minerals, or sediment and your water is dirty, I would suggest flushing it, or even replacing it if needed.
Question:	Does this unit remove rotten egg smell
Answer:	It does if you change filters regularly... Sulfur is the rotten egg smell, check the magnesium rod in your hot water heater, that can make the water stink.
Question:	Can this be hooked up to a dedicated filter faucet
Answer:	Yes, this system can be installed at the point of use. You can install it under your kitchen sink for your main faucet or a separate dedicated faucet. You will simply need to purchase adapter fittings for your faucet hose size (eg. 1/2"), the ports on this system are 3/4" female threads. Hope this helps.
Question:	I have a space issue. Can this be installed upside down or sideways if I don't care about the water mess when changing filters
Answer:	It is recommended to install this system upright as this will allow the filters to sit properly when installing. We don't recommend installing sideways as the filters will not be properly installed and you will have bypass. Installing this system upside down will have the same footprint as installing upright but, if needed, this will allow the filters to sit centered when installing.
