| Answer: | Works for mine. Connected it to a vessel sink, under the counter all I needed to do was bend in the P trap (which in itself is rendered slightly unnecessary due to the auto closing valve on this, but, just to be sure anyway). Works great. As a bathroom sink, the only thing going down this drain is soapy water, I intentionally did not use this for my vanity sink because I had concerns of possible clogging due to the riffles in the piping from it’s flexible bendy nature. Might be worth taking into consideration. Hair, dirt, debris and such could very easily get caught in a drain like this one |

| Answer: | There’s a slight magnetic hold on the one way valve inside the chamber that sits below the drain connection. The weight of flowing water is enough to drop the valve open to allow water to pour through. Once water flow is stopped, the valve seals shut again, effectily preventing critters from crawling up the drain pipe and through the sinks pop up valve. Odors, can’t say definitely but i’d Imagine it would block most of an odor that could back up. Be sure to bend yourself a little P-trap in it to help with that though. |
