Even if you put warm water in it, the heater only keeps the water warm for about 20 minutes and then it begins to turn cold. So I would say that you can just put the cold water in it and the heater is not strong enough to actually heat up the water.

Answer:	The machine is wonderful, however nothing can be added to the water. Interfere with infra-red. But the machine is everything is said it was. I love it.

Question:	Can you adjust the water temperature
Answer:	Anything that will suds-up should be avoided... it would cause the foam to overflow like a scene out of a comedy! Bath salts, however, seem to work well. So, I judge what a product does when I add it to running bath water, if it suds up, I avoid it, if it dissolves with very little foaming, I use it. (Johnson's Foot Soap will foam up like a geyser in Yellowstone!)
Question:	Can you use bath salts & oils in this unit? Thank you
Answer:	It heats the water rather nicely. I have even had to turn the heat off because it got to hot. I still start with warm water just so it heats up faster but have put in cold water before. It took about 5 min to warm up to a nice temperature.

Answer:	There are NO air or water jets, so there is nothing to clog. I use epsom salts and essential oils in mine
