Answer:	I did not like the product you bought. It did not even fit in my bathtub. But I also bought Danco Inc 10876 tub protectors and they work perfectly. I use it when I'm in the shower and the hair just naturally goes right towards it and lands right on top of it. In fact the hair sticks to it so well that it is sometimes hard to get the hair out of it. That's the only suggestion I have for you. I hope it helps.

Question:	How far does the center piece protrude above and below the plane of the 4.4" diameter perimeter? Total height is
Answer:	It's 4 3/4" overall, including the 1/4" silicone edging. Essentially flat, with no protrusions on underside. The edging is the only thing that keeps it from sliding away from drain hole. You could put a dab of silicone underneath to hold it, but it does catch hairs on top of very small holes and needs to be cleaned from time to time.

Answer:	You would need something to catch the hair, ESPECIALLY, if it's long . Long hair down the drain is a major cause for clogged drain pipes. If not this one, some type of drain to keep it from entering the drain pipe.

Answer:	Well, let me get out my trusty ruler here. I unscrewed the basket from the drain and measured the basket by itself which is 1 1/4". Then I screwed it back in. As you can see from the photo of the product that there is a lip above the basket which alone is 1/16". So the total height is 1 5/16" tall. Hope this helps.

Question:	Does this drain cover slow down the water flow if used for bathtub
Answer:	No, the tubshroom sits above the drain. A drain plug will not fit. It's one or the other.
Question:	Is this good at catching hair
Answer:	Yes, that middle part is hollow. The rubber ring is against the pipe so the water can only flow out through the middle portion and get strained by those hexagons on the way. I don't know what the second part of your question is asking.
Question:	How do I clean this drain protector
Answer:	To clean, just lift the drain hair catcher out of the tub drain. I just remove the hair and wash with soap and warm/hot water and use an old brush/toothbrush to get between the holes. Takes a minute to clean at most.
Question:	How tall is this hair catcher
Answer:	The rubber washer fits inside a groove. There's 3 sizes and they're stretchy enough to remove the one that doesn't fit and replace it with the one that fits the drain. I needed the middle one which fits the drain snugly but can lift it out easily. The whole thing sits on top of the drain cross piece so don't see how the rubber could come out and fall down the drain

Answer:	They are soft and they had never gotten stuck, if anything the chain itself got broken once. I highly recommend the product
