Answer:	I just prepared a 8.5lb whole turkey for Christmas dinner 2020 and had plenty of room! FYI, I have the 5500 series Ronco Showtime Rotisserie. The instruction manual states that the 5500 series can accommodate a whole turkey up to 15lbs., so I am quite sure you would have no issues with a whole chicken since they are typically 4-6lbs. As with those yarns, I'd think a G or H hook would work, assuming your usual tension/gauge is "average."

Question:	Has anybody found the free end of the twine (the end that's supposed to be threaded through the holder)? Clearly not from the middle
Answer:	if you use the free end on the outside of ball it will not dispense freely from the container. You either have to find the end thatis tucked (hidden, never to be found) in the middle or create a free end from a middle loop. I got a pair of tweezers and pulled at the looped threads stuffed inthe middle. Eventually a very loose one came free. I just snipped the loop; then I had a free end that unspooled easily andcould be pushed through the hole in the container.I got an idea how to do it from utube video about how to get a ball/skein of yarn started.That outside end isnt wasted twine; just wrap it around the ball so it looks the way it wasoriginally, being careful not to wind over midlle hole where your lose end originates.A lot of thought goes into a spool of anything!

Question:	Looking for something to bind uneven salmon i want to bbq, would these work or just burn/melt
Answer:	Interesting... well, the silicone won't melt/burn at baking or roasting temps, but don't put it under or over a fire or it will start to decompose. The elastic will also deform the fish and look weird. When I worked in a kitchen we used a woven cotton twine that held well and wouldn't deform too badly. At home now I keep 8" and 16" inch lengths of #14 solid copper wire in the drawer for stacked fillets, pork loins, chicken, etc. Bend tiny loops in the ends for easier handling. It's re-usable and goes thru the dishwasher with the flatware.

When I first discovered these in a kitchen store, I figured if they could withstand 550 F. they could stand up to summer temps in our attic in Florida. I was right. Some I just tied the two ends in a knot and used them some more.
