Answer:	1/2 inch drive meaning that’s the size of part where sockets attach to. Then the whole ratchet is 10 1/2 inch in length

The cross sectional area of a 3/8" drive is over twice that of a 1/4"... so you would expect the 3/8" to be able to handle about twice the torque. BUT the ball detent mechanism of the 1/4" takes up a much greater percentage of the cross section of the 1/4 drive, weakening it a lot.

Answer:	contact tekton, they will ask you to send pictures and a description, if they find that you didnt abuse it, they will ship out a new one for free. I used the warranty to replace a double extra long ratcheting wrench.

Question:	What is the benefit to non quick release? Why get that
Answer:	It is just a cleaner backside. You can apply pressure from the back of the ratchet to keep the socket without releasing the socket. The difference is height is minimal. I rarely prefer this because the socket is SO hard to get off, especially if you have grease or oil on your hands/gloves. Whether it is this It my Snap-on Flex head or this Tekton non-quick release, usually takes a nylon trim tool to release a socket. And I guess I am old school, I like to push the button and socket drops in my hand. It takes 1 hand to release a socket, not 2. Quick Release is much faster and more convenient for me.
