Answer:	I believe you can but so far we haven’t downloaded the app to my wife’s phone yet.

Answer:	This lock is great and I would think that it would work on the apartment door. I installed this 3 weeks ago on our house and it is working great. You just need to use your phone app to do all the programing on it. You may need to talk to someone in the apartment office if you can have this installed. And if you do install this don't forget to keep the old one so you can change it back and take this one with you.

Answer:	Inside unit 6 inches high and 3 inches wide

Answer:	If you mean the direction (left hand vs right hand), then yes it is reversible. It automatically learns the direction when you insert the battery pack. If that is not working correctly, try holding the middle button while you insert the battery pack and once it's inserted release and push the middle button once more and it will learn the direction.

Question:	read where rain can "fry" this unit, true
Answer:	I have two of these and one of the touchpad deadbolts on different doors. The two like this have been installed about 2 years and the touchpad has been installed about three. One of them (this model) is installed on a shed directly in the elements while the other two have eves above them (very small overhangs). I am currently replacing the one that is directly in the elements while the other two are still functioning perfectly. The overhangs are small but it is the difference between getting soaked EVERY single time it rains and rarely ever getting directly rained on. So I would say, no, rain doesn’t “fry” this product but, yes, DIRECT exposure to the elements will likely shorten the lifespan of the lock. On the other hand, it doesn’t take much to reduce this problem (like a 12” overhang 8-10’ above the door). Also, the “shortened” lifespan of mine was still about two years. It was better than I expected knowing it was completely unsheltered.
Question:	Is the keypad visible in the dark -- from a source other than reflected light
Answer:	No, The Keyboard is not visible in the dark. You must touch a key on the pad before the keyboard lights. We press any key an then press the enter key before we enter a code.
Question:	Do the numbers wear on the commonly used keys (for your PIN entry?) That is, after repeated use, can a person tell which keys are pressed most often
Answer:	...even if one could identify the 4 most commonly used keys, there would still be 256 potential combinations since numbers can be repeated. I have had one of these for six years, and while the numbers have not worn, the buttons which are pushed most frequently are a bit dirtier than the numbers that never get pushed. They are not dirty but there is slight discoloration. However, since my wife and family each have separate codes, 8 out of the 10 buttons get used at some point. All that said, the keys are still clean and the oft used button are only barely discolored.

Question:	I have a door outside with no overhang, can the code pad side take direct rain fall
Answer:	Yep. Easy to do. Insert a small screwdriver into the hole located on the shaft and the lever can then be pulled off. Then just reverse.
Question:	Is the really 9 1/2 inches or is that a misprint
Answer:	The switch on the inside is either switched to open from the outside or not to open. If set to not open, then anytime the door is closed, it is locked from the outside and would require the code to unlock.
Question:	When locked, do you need to unlock from the inside to open the door or will the handle just turn and open
Answer:	I have three of them on exterior doors in the Midwest. They are designed to go outside, and a couple months of use (in the winter) have shown no issues. I used a clear silicone to create a bead of sealant along the top and sides of the unit where it meets the door. This will ensure moisture cannot get into the unit during heavy rains, but residual moisture can evaporate through the bottom. Not mecessay, I'm sure, but I few better about it.
Question:	Does keypad have a light for night
Answer:	I don't think you will have any problems in that the handle is 2+inches away from the face of the door. One odd element of this lockset is that the outside panel is about 1+inch above the level of the inside panel...In other words, they don't line up evenly when you look at them from the side when the door is open. It's not that noticeable on ingress/egress.

Answer:	You'd need to read the ad to see what lengths they come in and then check to see which length, if any, are currently available.

Answer:	Is it strong enough FOR WHAT? It's a very shallow, lightweight "shelf". The magnets on the underside that are supposed to hold it in place are shit. The first thing that happened is the shelf took a dive down the back of my stove ledge. I had to purchase a 6-pc set of 1" disc magnets. They're holding it in place just fine. But this shelf is really only good for holding salt & pepper shakers. Or a toothpick holder. Maybe a small sugar bowl. This "shelf" isn't a utilitarian shelf that you think you can use to hold your laundry jugs. It would hold dryer sheets just fine. But nothing bulky or heavy.

Answer:	First of all make sure your using alkaline batteries for some reason they work the best with these.. check and make sure that all of your holes are lined up with the lock.. if they're not lined up properly sometimes the combination lock will not work right..

Answer:	Latch plate alignment is a problem with all sorts of locks. When I upgrade passage sets in my house I often find it necessary to file the plate to get alignment correct. And I do the same with exterior locksets at a commercial facility that I help to manage, including the installation of thousand dollar Trilogy locks. The alignments of different manufacturers' locksets can't be assumed. Just sayin...
