3 best bulldog picture hangers
Bulldog picture hangers are a type of hardware used for hanging pictures, artwork, mirrors, and other wall decorations. They are designed to securely hold items on the wall without causing damage or leaving unsightly holes. Bulldog picture hangers are known for their ease of use and durability.
Here are some key features and information about Bulldog picture hangers:

Weight Capacity: Bulldog picture hangers come in various sizes and weight capacities to accommodate different items. They are available for lightweight frames as well as heavier mirrors and artwork.
Installation: Installing a Bulldog picture hanger is relatively simple. You typically need a hammer to drive the spikes or nails into the wall. Some hangers may also include additional features, such as built-in levels or adjustable hooks for added convenience.
Damage-Free: Bulldog picture hangers are designed to minimize damage to walls. When it's time to remove them, they leave smaller holes compared to traditional nails or screws, making them a popular choice for renters or homeowners concerned about wall damage.
Versatility: These hangers can be used on various wall surfaces, including drywall, plaster, and wood. However, it's essential to choose the right type of hanger and follow the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure proper installation.
Safety Considerations: It's crucial to use the appropriate size and weight capacity of Bulldog picture hanger for your item to ensure it is securely held in place. Overloading a hanger can result in the item falling and causing damage or injury.
Availability: Bulldog picture hangers are readily available at most hardware stores, home improvement centers, and online retailers. They are often sold in packs with multiple hangers to accommodate various projects.
In summary, Bulldog picture hangers are a popular choice for hanging artwork and decorations due to their ease of use, versatility, and damage-free installation. User questions & answers
Question: | Are these individually packaged |
Answer: | No, they are not. This is a bulk pack with 100 hangers and a bag of 100 nails. Thanks. |
Question: | Will these hook well on old plaster walls |
Answer: | I would suggest looking at a different type of hanger that will minimize the nail hole for plaster walls. This hanger would work, however it is designed for drywall. On amazon search for 'plaster picture hanger' and look at the brass hangers with black steel nails, those leave only a tiny nail hole in plaster and do very little damage to the wall. |
Question: | I need to mount a 40 lb mirror on a door. the door is pretty solid but I have never hung a mirror on a door before. would this product good |
Answer: | Yes, this product is very good but buy 100 pound picture hooks instead of 50 pounds in order to hold the weight of your 40 pound mirror. |
Question: | Can these be hammered in or do you need a drill? I'm not handy |
Answer: | These hangers come with nails and must be hammered in. The hook guides the nail in at the correct angle, so they are easy to use and very strong. |

Hanging pictures, while a fairly simple process, can be frustrating for a lot of people. With most picture hanging tools, it is difficult to make sure the picture is centered, stays straight, to get the wire to catch correctly and to have the picture hang flush to the wall. Bulldog recognizes these frustrations and has designed tools to handle any issue you come across. One big problem is hanging a picture and realizing it is off by just a little bit and having to remove and re-install the hanger. This can be time consuming and frustrating as well as create multiple holes in the wall. The Bulldog Hardware Adjustable Picture Hanger allows you to move the picture hanger in any direction to get exactly where you want it with over 3/4-Inch radius movement.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can these be used with old plaster walls |
Answer: | On magnification, it will be seen that the package specifically says "for drywall installations only." I live in a 100= year old house with equally old plaster walls and I hesitate to order this product for myself.. I have successfully used everything from pushpins for pieces of paper. to the older style nail-in picture hangers. I just did some research..I removed a picture that has been hanging successfully for about 30 years, held with one of those old nail-in hangers, so I could examine the plaster. No cracking; no problems. If removed, the hole would be tiny and I believe as easily "repaired" as a hole from this product. Looking closely at the length of the prong, and its angle, I think this product probably would work but since the mfg. has gone to the trouble to caution specifically to "only use on drywall"..I shall take them at their word. Personally, I don't find it especially taxing to use a hammer and just nail in the traditional style holders. If I thought I was going to want to keep moving the piece about, possibly searching for placement perfection, I'd consider the Command hangers that stick to the wall. And that is certainly what I'd think of first if I was living in a rental. |
Question: | How do you use them? And can you reuse them again and again |
Answer: | Yes they are reuseable. You just hammer or push them into a wall. Very simple. |
Question: | Which hooks you use for the floating shelves |
Answer: | I believe the floating shelves come with their own specific hangers. Check out the video on their web site: http://designedtobestuckup.com/how-to |
Question: | I am still confused. Listing says qty 8, 20-40 lb assortment, but details says 20 lb, 5 pieces. What weight do the other 3 hangers support |
Answer: | Sorry for the confusion. The package comes with 8 pieces. 6 can hold 20 lbs and 2 can hold 40 lbs. Hope that answers your question. Thank you! |
