Answer:	If I understand your question: it only allows four directions (up, down, left, right.) But what I think you're getting at is how many steps you can add. In that case, you can enter pretty much as many steps as your like (Gismodo used 30 steps successfully). Personally, I've set mine for eight, giving 1:65,563 odds (and that's only if a stranger knew that I had used eight, which they wouldn't.) If you want to use five, that's fine, and will give the odds of 1:1024 (assuming it was publicly known that you only used five steps.)

Answer:	In my opinion, the Blue is the worst for visibility. The stickers are dark blue with black text - almost impossible for me to read except under a bright light. However, the great thing about these locks is that once you remember the sequence you don't have to be able to read the sticker labels. Also you can choose a simple sequence or a more difficult one. For my work locks I use an eight movement sequence. For my son's lock I use a four movement sequence. I love these locks.

Answer:	Yes. I wear glasses myself and do not work out in them and have no trouble reading them. My parents have these locks as well and they have glasses and do not struggle with them. This is a truly wonderful lock.

Answer:	I wouldnt say mini but a decent size lock. I use mine for my gym locker. So I would say you can use it for a luggage bag but not a bookbag in my opinion.
Question:	Is it possible to order extra letter dials from you or master lock
Answer:	Here are the directions from the label, with a couple of my additions: move the dials until the colored window in the side has all zeroes. Then, holding the lock with the colored edge (where you can see the numbers) on the right, turn the top silver shackle 1/4 turn towards you (counter-clockwise). If you look at the top, this quarter turn aligns the notch at the bottom of the shackle with one of the grooves in the lock. Now let the shackle fall down slightly into the groove (will only go a small way down). You now need to push down kinda hard and turn the shackle 1/4 turn more counter clockwise. The loop of the shackle will now be directly over the numbers on the colored part... Now move the dials to your own combination. When you have the numbers you want, turn the shackle 1/4 turn clockwise (back in the opposite direction). Then lift straight up out of the small groove. Remember that once you push the shackle down to lock, it won't be locked until you turn the numbers to get your combination out of the colored window...
Question:	What is the remedy when the lock gets hard to open/close? Soaking in a 50-50 solution of vinegar and water works; is there a better way
Answer:	Due to the fact that Master Lock ships all colors under the same SKU number, there's no easy way for busy warehouses to separate the colors. It can become very time consuming and not cost effective for us (or any warehouse) to process individual color requests throughout the day, especially on a low cost item.

Answer:	Just tried this. After you've opened the lock, to lock it again you can either: - Scramble the numbers, then close the lock. Or - Hold the lock closed and change the code. The lock will not engage if you simply try to close it without changing the code.

Answer:	I do not know if it is TSA approved. But I can tell you that it is too big for luggage locks. Unless you are shipping a military size duffle bag.

Answer:	I haven't found anyone offering extra dials, and because the different colors all use the same SKU, sellers aren't offering specific colors, but a random selection. Unfortunately, this means buying a bunch of the locks and hoping you have enough matching ones to swap out the dials (a single lock only comes with one extra alpha dial, so if you want a 5-letter combination you will need to combine multiple locks).
Question:	can this be used for lockers? my son goes to summer camp and they need them for the lockers. also, how heavy is this
Answer:	Water and vinegar are very bad for metal locks, where on Earth did you get that advice? Use WD40, and if you don't have it handy, a very very small amount of cooking oil. Never water or anything water-based. (Vinegar is already 90%-95% water.)
