Answer:	No. You select the 1 to 12 symbols (0 thru 9, *, #) that will be in the combination but pressing those correct symbols in ANY order will open the lock.

Answer:	Just cut around the circle as marked in the back. You'll be able to see the place where the two plastic zip ties meet. You can cut through these with a sharp blade. Once that's cut you'll be able to remove the Master Lock from the plastic packaging. Good luck!

Answer:	You can mount it on a door if you can do so securely. I would not recommend mounting it on a hollow core door. A metal door maybe. It would be best to mount it on the door facing. It works out well there for me.

Answer:	The distance from one leg of the U to the other leg IS 9X16 ths of an inch (or 4.5 x 8ths of an inch) just measured it for you ., Also note the distance from the lock flat part inside the hoop to the start of the hoop is again 9x16ths of inch. On the manufacturers speck it confirms 9x16th of an inch (shown as C: 9/16", grim) but remember if you are NOT fitting it to somthing round, say pipe, tube ect, you can not count the top part of the loop , so thats why the useable space for fitting around a flat item is only 9x16th of an inch, thats why I noted in my review that the lock sticks up when fitted to the case it is recommended for as the handle it goes through is square/flat not tubular.hope that helps, now back to fitting my kitchen sink.

Answer:	correcting the Speed Deamon math. it is not 5! = 120 each pin in a Kwikset has six depths, the first pin can have six depths, the second pin six depths, etc, so it is 6 to the power of 5 or 7776 theoretical unique keys. however, due to practical and security considerations (for example cannot have the highest cut next to the lowest cut, cannot have all cut to the same depth, etc), there are actually only about 6,200 unique keys, still much more than 120... that said, I do not know how many unique combinations Kwikset makes for this specific kit. note that Schlag has 10 unique depths for a practical total of about 80,000 unique keys

Question:	M1 blank key? does that mean they are all keyed the same ie 1 key - multiple locks
Answer:	A key blank is not keyed to anything. It has no combination cuts yet and is therefore a "blank". All blanks are straight on the top of the blade. You therefore have to make combination cuts,either by hand or with a key cutting machine,either duplicated from a key with identical cuts or duplicated by code number on a machine.Keyed alike keys all have the same combination cuts.

Answer:	I’m not sure about this... this is a great lock and could probably be keyed the same on 4

Answer:	You can get keys made anywhere. There's nothing special about them. They're just plain old garden variety keys...unless you swap out the cores like l did. Then getting keys sucks hard. Like your wife.
Question:	Can I buy 8 locks and 24 keys? All alike
Answer:	You probably can get a locksmith to do it. I got two of them and I have two different keys.
Question:	Question for the seller : already buy 3 locks and need 3 more, there is a posibility to master the keys with the first 3 key locks
Answer:	No. The shackle is not designed to be entirely removed.
