The unlocking is reversed. Insert the key and turn clockwise, pull from the short stem and turn the lock 90 degree, turn the key counterclockwise and remove from the long stem. It sounds confusing but it becomes routine after a few times. |

| Answer: | I use the lock on a backyard shed . The design is such that you could not use a "bolt cutter" to hack it. Can the combination you set be hacked? Depends on how good the "Safe Cracker/Hacker" is with tumblers. Keep in mind that Locks are used to keep honest people honest. |
