Answer:	You don't. You have to install a Knack box. (I think I spelled "Knack" correctly, but the fire department would know). The fire department has a standard key to all boxes and in your box would be a gate controller which they would use to open your gate. Typically the box is installed into a cut out in the gate or in a post on one side. OTOH in a small enough community they just may have everyone's controllers on a board somewhere.

Answer:	I was unable to program either one of my two Toyota Camry (2007 and 2018) Homelink systems to work with our new Ghost Controls gate system. Used two different remotes that worked on their own. Spent about 30-45 minutes, followed the instructions exactly, kept the buttons pressed until they timed out on their own -- at least 2 minutes -- no sign of recognitiion by the Homelink systems. My Genie garage door opener signals were previously cloned on both cars without difficulty, and continue to work.
