Answer:	If 2" is the ID they'd definitely fall out. The ID of my chair's PAD was just under 1.5" and the part "snapped" in w/a little bit of force from a block of wood.

Answer:	Don't know but if you have round cups on the legs and they are 1-1/2" diameter (they also make 1-1/4") then they should work. The inserts are over sized so they are a tight fit. This is a good thing but you can not just pop them in with your hand, you will need to drive them in with a rubber mallet. Took me about 15 min. to replace 4 chair and a table....easy. Good luck.

Answer:	Most likely not...they're made to fit right inside the rounded wrought iron feet of chair/table...it will not prevent (collect?) eventual rust at feet bottom from staining carpet underneath, especially if carpet is relatively thick.

Answer:	I suggest you by a 4 pack of each size and try it. These are designed to sit inside the leg foot, and raise the metal above the plastic. Mine fit my 30 year old set perfectly. The inside I'd on the leg was the same as the od on the insert, and work great. Caps are very hard plastic and will not expand. Try driving it on with a 8lb sledge hammer, good luck
