Answer:	I was not aware of any directions that come with the clips. Here's how I use them: Lift tabs to open clips. Fasten one clip at fitted sheet corner seam edge. Close tab to secure clip. Fasten remaining 2 clips on either side of corner seam about 6 inches from corner seam. Do the same for the remaining 3 fitted sheet corners. Then put the fitted sheet on the mattress. If one of the clips pops off, I found it easier to reattach after the sheet is on the mattress. They work well once they are in place.

Answer:	Thanks for asking. These are great pieces of hardware. I set my router to the thickness of the plate, that which the screws go into. However, you need to drill out smaller holes for the back parts of the "hooks" so that the screw plate sits flat. I did this, and advise you to do this as well, on a piece of scrape wood before doing it on your actual projects. Someone else said, and I disagree with, "I think it was about half an inch. It really doesn't matter how deep you cut the mortise as long as it is deeper than the pins.". It really DOES matter how deep you cut the mortise. If you make them too deep, the hooks will not be able to reach the slots where there should attach.
