Answer:	It is a glass lens, and the construction of the viewer seems to be of good quality.
Question:	Will a 5/8” drill bit work for this
Answer:	It should as the diameter of the hold should be close to 16mm and that is roughly 5/8"
Question:	How big a hole is needed for a door without a peephole viewer
Answer:	It's in the description. "Durable Solid Brass metal with installation is a breeze.Suitable for 1-3/8" to 2-1/4" thick doors, simply drill a suitably positioned 0.63" diameter hole, insert the viewer into the hole then screw the two sides together and tighten by hand."
Question:	How big of a hole needs to be drilled? Several different answers, please provide smallest drillbit required
Answer:	The instructions provide the size. The smallest is just a pilot hole to make the scholar easier to make. But the you only make it as wide as the inside tube.
Question:	Does this actually have a 220 degree viewing angle? 180 degrees is the most you would ever need, so I feel like the manufacturer is lying
Answer:	It is not 220 degrees. To be more than 180 degrees, you'd have to be able to see part of the door in which it's mounted 20 degrees on each side. I just installed mine and can verify that you cannot; you can't see the surface of the door at all (as is logical, since it sticks out slightly from the surface). That said, it is sufficiently wide for the purposes for which it's intended.
Question:	Im confused, on description says to use 9/16 bit but on features it says 5/8. Which bit size should i use or does it not matter
Answer:	The safest way to proceed would be to use the 9/16" bit first and see if the peep hole fits. Mine fit perfectly with that size. I never saw anything in the literature that said to use a 5/8" drill bit, but maybe you have a different style. If the 9/16" hole is too small, then compare the width of the peep hole barrel to a 5/8" drill bit and see if they're the same size. If they are, then you can just use that drill bit in the same hole you drilled with the 9/16" bit to expand it. You just don't want to make the hole too large to begin with. Better off to have it be too small and have to keep enlarging it until the peep hole fits.
Question:	Is it bluetooth
Answer:	This is not an electronic device therefore it is not Bluetooth capable.
Question:	This may seem like a stupid question, but when drilling, do you close the door and drill from the inside, drilling out? or it doesn't matter
Answer:	I drilled a 3/16" pilot hole from inside out, then took the correct size and drilled 1/2 way from inside 1/2 way from outside to avoid any splintering on either side.

Question:	Is this product backed by any warranty
Answer:	It comes with a one year warranty against "non-human factors". I assume that means if you drop it you've voided the warranty. I dropped mine on a tile floor when I was installing it. That was two months ago and it's operating fine. I did have to change the batteries and found one leaking. That may have been a result of the fall? In any case, I cleaned up the terminal, replaced the batteries and it's working fine.

Answer:	It should. But it may be a little tricky trying to get the cable from the port to the screen to reach far enough to still be able to connect. I'd say 3" is safe. 4 just may be too much.

Answer:	It will work on any door provided that you have the correct channel diameter. I had to drill and larger hole to expand the channel on my wooden door to accommodate this item

Question:	Can this be installed on a metal door
Answer:	Yes, it can be installed on a steel door. I bought the associated hole saw/bit that is offered by the same company & offered by Amazon (TOGU DB-02 1-1/10" (28mm) Heat Treated High Speed Steel Drill Bit). I used it to install the viewer on a commercial steel door. It worked well, & I believe it remained sharp enough for multiple installations. I highly recommend purchasing the bit because of its quality & it ensures the correct size hole for installation. Not a lot of room for error. Good price for what you get. Drill the hole at medium to slow speed because the size of the bit will build up a lot of heat & ruin the bit (hole saw). The challenge for some will be ensuring the hole goes 'straight/level' through the door. Being a little off will mis-align the inner & outer holes, making it difficult screw together the inner & outer pieces of the viewer.
Question:	How large of a hole will this work with? I have an exiting 2.5" hole but thinking with a washer I could make this work
Answer:	hi it needs a 1 1/8" hole it will cover a bit more but 2.5 is alot

Answer:	When I received it, I took it apart. The structure is a male and female thread that screw together inside the door. The outside of the female shaft is 1.10" or about 28mm (the minimum diameter hole you will need through the door). The inside of the optical barrel measures 0.675" or 17.1 mm. The lenses are indeed glass unlike most cheap peephole viewers.

Answer:	I think the questioner might have meant how far back from the peephole can you stand and still see outside. You can stand maybe a foot away and still see clearly although you can see better if you get a little closer, maybe 6-8 inches.

Answer:	It might be nice if the seller would get their act together and clarify the description and all the measurements. When I think of a peephole camera, I'm looking for something that's maybe 1/2" in diameter. This thing is how big? Nobody knows! It give every dimension but this. But it looks in the picture like it's about 3" or more in diameter! And it says the door hole size is 14-28mm (0.55-1.1 in). Why? Isn't the shaft that goes through the door a particular size? How big is that?! And that being said, how do you suppose the product dimensions are "0.4 x 0.4 x 0.4 inches" as stated? If companies really want to sell their products, why can't they provide correct details? But yeah. It's not a doorbell. And it's not a wireless camera.
