Are you not wanting to install the deadbolt or are you looking for something more like a dummy knob without the capability of being locked (in which case you need to have a friction device of some sort like a roller catch to keep it closed) or do you want a knob that will latch but not lock?

Answer:	I cannot give a 100% answer on this; but the keys for this keyset are pretty unique - as in I tried to get some keys made at a local hardware store and they did not have a blank that fits it. So can you rekey this to match a schulage key - my guess would be no (because if the key matched a schulage key I would think the HW store would have had a matching blank and been able to duplicate it).

Answer:	I don't know, my door width was 1.75 in. This is a lock set and deadbolt.

Answer:	The deadbolt model 980 (this one) is a single cylinder, which means it's a key on the outside, but not the inside. The combo is marked as Juno 991 to mark this. The deadbolt model 985, (not this one) is a double cylinder which means it's a key on both sides. The combo with the double cylinder is the Juno 992.
Question:	Can you lock the knob from the inside without using a key
Answer:	Yes. The knob, on the inside, has a button like thing that you turn to lock. On your way out just turn that button to the locked position and close the door.
