Question:	What would i need for 2 doors
Answer:	Without the separate Connect device, the August lock relies on Bluetooth for communications. That means that you have to be within Bluetooth range to use the August app to lock/unlock the door. If you want the lock to use WiFi for communication, you need the Connect device. WiFi is needed to control the August lock remotely (out of Bluetooth range) including using Alexa or other devices to control the lock.
Question:	Is it more reliable than the 2nd Gen? My 2G version failed all the time, replaced twice under warranty, and still not perfect
Answer:	It’s a lot better than the 2G. I’ve had it for 4 months and I’ve had no problems whatsoever. The remote access is instant as compared to the 2G which took like 30-60 seconds. I definitely recommend it
Question:	Once i come home and am in the door, does it lock automatically while i'm at home? every time i'm just near the back door will it unlock by mistake
Answer:	The phone app tries to unlock the door automatically just once every time you have been several hundred yards away from your home.

Answer:	I have mine on outside gate and went thru one day of rain so far, no problem.
Question:	Does the Gateway have to be hardwired to the Wi-Fi router
Answer:	The gateway is ZigBee and not Bluetooth as the other person said. You can have the gateway up to 50 feet away from the lock and it will work. No the gateway isn't hardwired to the router.

Answer:	The simple answer is that you can paint anything with the right primer. I really don't see why you couldn't paint this as long as you didn't let the paint bind the thumb mechanism. I would point out that the thumb hold will get a lot of wear & the paint may not last. If you are considering the (separate) keypad, be aware that this would be a much trickier task.
Question:	How I can unlock if I forgot my phone inside home and walked outside and door get autolocked
Answer:	You still have the ability to unlock the door with the keys to the deadbolt.

Question:	What is the unlock with bluetooth experience like? do i have to unlock my phone? how does the lock tell between people who are inside or outside
Answer:	The camera can only allow remote monitoring via the app and currently rtsp, rtp or mjpeg can not monitor the camera.
Question:	Does the phone app have to be downloaded in order for this to work or can the lock and biometric reader work without the phone app

Question:	What happens if yhe electricity (internet) goes outm..can the device be used as far as fingerprint/code
Answer:	I think it's pretty easy to use. I had a 15 inch Lenovo before this computer and I haven't noticed any difference in the way I type other than the shift key on the right is far away and on the other side of the up arrow. After some practice it doesn't bother me, but I think it would be a bigger problem than the size of the keyboard :)

Answer:	Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID.
