Answer:	It doesn’t need a special hub. You can set it up as a skill with Alexa. There is a passcode you have to set as a security feature. Wouldn’t want anyone saying “Alexa, unlock the door” and your door unlocking. You have to say Alexa unlock the door and then state the passcode.
Question:	Is the touch screen the only difference vs the less expensive kwikset 99380-001 halo wi-fi smart lock keyless entry
Answer:	You are correct, but the touch screen is described as "more secure". Not sure I agree, but the theory is that keys on the key pad either get dirty or the numbers show wear. Some people think this may be a security flaw as it can reveal the four keys used in your code. Apparently a thief can try different combinations and may crack your code if they can see which four keys show the most wear. The touchscreen has a way to "hide" finger prints so your code stays more secure. Your call if that justifies the higher price or not...

Answer:	Press the "House" button on the lower left hand side of the keypad and it will light up without entering a number.

Answer:	The history log is at the bottom of the Schlage Home app page. It records "how" the lock was operated--even if you NEVER add user codes different from the default codes. Using the inside lever causes these history log entries: Locked by Thumbturn (time and date) Unlocked by Thumbturn (time and date) Locking by pushing the lock symbol on the touchscreen causes this entry: Locked by Touchscreen (time and date) When I use the Schalge Home app to lock and unlock, history shows cause these entries: Locked by Bill (time and date) Unlocked by Bill (time and date) IF YOU ADD USER CODES, the default codes (under the battery cover) stop functioning. Since I named a custom code "Primary", using it to unlock causes this history entry: Unlocked by Primary (time and date) see less
Question:	If I have a power outage will a pre programed code still work
Answer:	Yes. It operates on batteries. However, you will not be able to use the app to access the lock during a power outage as your wifi will most likely be off too. Power being out does not effect the normal lock/unlock functionality.
Question:	Does it have auto-lock function
Answer:	It's probably confusing when you get both yes and no answers! I just installed the lock. There are two apps used to control it. Amazon Key and Schlange Home. It's a bit confusing, but you'll want both. Both apps have an Auto Lock setting. You can select 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes or 4 minutes. Navigating the apps is not obvious. For Amazon Key, go to "Settings" in the main menu, select the lock name (Encode if you didn't change it) and look for Auto Relock. In Schlange App, use the settings icon at the bottom of the page (using iOS; not sure about Android); choose "Auto Lock Delay". Hope this helps.

Answer:	It works with Xfinity Home alarm system. That was the reason I bought mine. I don't know about other alarm systems. It does not work with Ring because Ring uses Z-wave. This lock is a Zigbee type.

Answer:	No this one is only designed to replace the deadbolt from the inside of the door.
Question:	Existing lock has deadbolt and handle (used to open door) on one plate. Not sure this would work, since this item has no place for handle. How would this work
Answer:	You would use it on the dead bolt part and use the other handle below to open and close door. If it has a key lock on it you can use the rekey to make all the keys the same.

Answer:	No. Check the connected Cloud Camera for service fee options. None is required.

Question:	I want to use this for my airbnb. Can I change the passcode for different guests and then cancel the code once they leave? Would this be a big hassle
Answer:	Yes, you can "manage" the passcodes (multiple) without a hassle. However, to do so remotely requires that you also have Apple TV in order to link your smart phone. Without Apple TV, you would have to be physically near the lock (8-12 ft). And don't forget that you have to download and link/sync the Kwikset app with Home Set on your iPhone. Setup for us required assistance from the very capable Kwickset customer support.

Answer:	Yes. We are currently using this lock to work with our iPhones. We have not attempted to use with Apple TV.

Answer:	If by Comcast you mean your WiFi signal the answer is yes and no. Zigbee and z-wave both require a hub to utilize your wifi. Many options exist for a hub to include echo plus -(has a zigbee hub built in). I use the Echo Plus myself and it works flawlessly.
Question:	I have the 910 zigbee lock and its paired with my amazon echo plus. the only thing do in the alexa app is lock the door. what other app can i use
Answer:	Not if you dont have an another smart home app (alarm company or similar). The Kwikset locks are very limited.

Answer:	I have 2 and I myself think that its loud.
