Answer:	I purchased 1 online and one from the Xfinity store and was able to pair them both to my Xfinity Home hub without issues. I need 1 more but I'll get it from the Xfinity Store because it's a bit less expensive. I love these locks!
Question:	Can you use this to prevent children going outside at night
Answer:	The Kwikset 99130-002 SmartCode 913 does not have Alexa built in and since it is a Z-Wave protocol device, it will not work with any of the hub-enabled Echo devices. However, if you get a Z-Wave compatible hub, such as Samsung Smartthings hub, you can incorporate that into your network (pretty easy), then you can tell (or ask) Alexa to lock the door. I hope this helps.
Question:	can the autolock delay be set to 10 minutes
Answer:	That is probably best asked of Kwikset who can be reached at their website. My opinion is that if it can be subjected directly to moisture (rain, snow) and extreme temperatures that would be a problem since the keypad is on the outside. The main electronics are in the inside unit and would thereby be protected. I have one installed on my front door but it is protected by a storm door and roof over the front stoop. If practical the installation of a storm door would probably give it the necessary protection.
Question:	I purchased this lock but i can't enter the master. it keeps flashing red and beeping 3 times. could someone help? i went through all the steps over
Answer:	You should add window film to the inside of the window that will prevent thieves from being able to break the window.

Answer:	I have mine on outside gate and went thru one day of rain so far, no problem.

Answer:	The gateway is ZigBee and not Bluetooth as the other person said. You can have the gateway up to 50 feet away from the lock and it will work. No the gateway isn't hardwired to the router.

Answer:	The simple answer is that you can paint anything with the right primer. I really don't see why you couldn't paint this as long as you didn't let the paint bind the thumb mechanism. I would point out that the thumb hold will get a lot of wear & the paint may not last. If you are considering the (separate) keypad, be aware that this would be a much trickier task.
Question:	How I can unlock if I forgot my phone inside home and walked outside and door get autolocked
Answer:	You still have the ability to unlock the door with the keys to the deadbolt.

Answer:	To lock someone in a closet put the keypad in the closet and don't give them the code. To lock someone out of the closet, but the keypad on the outside. The lever on the non keypad side will always open the door whether it is locked or not. This way your dog can escape a burning house even if the door is locked and he does not know how to unlock it. If he closes the door behind him as he escapes the flames, the door will still be locked and he will not be able to reenter without the code or the key.
Question:	The ad does not specify right of left hand knob. May I specify at time of order
Answer:	The Schlage FE595 is non-handed (reversible)
Question:	Does this work like a dead bolt so that this would be the only lock needed
Answer:	No, this is a replacement for the regular door latch and lock. The FE365 is what you need for the deadbolt. I use both. Note: A locksmith can re-core the locks so they all use the same key for the key bypass. I find that simpler than having to keep a bunch of bypass keys.
Question:	This Schlage FE595 Cam 619 ACC does not say the handles reversible. Is it? Why is it cheaper than the VCAM model
Answer:	I checked with a locksmith and yes it is reversible. The directions are with lock. It is really easy to reverse. I have had this lock for over 8 years and love it.

Question:	I have a deadbolt about 1 inch above my door knob. In order to use this, do I have to get rid of the deadbolt since it's so close to the knob
Answer:	I literally switched my regular door knob with my deadbolt they fit perfectly opposite with each other and then had the deadbolt on the bottom and the ultra lock on the top instead of the way it was previous and it fits wonderfully looks very aesthetic and works incredibly well that's the way to do it...

Ultraloq doesn’t cover the deadbolt hole completely if you would like replace your existing deadbolt and knob / lever. However, there is a quick solution. What most customers do is a swap - install Ultraloq on the top hole and put the existing deadbolt on the lower hole. If there is no existing deadbolt or you want to remove your deadbolt, most of them will get this accessory in Lowes or Home Depot to cover the top or lower hole, depending on which hole you install Ultraloq. Question:	What is the backup method to get in? I don't see a key anywhere and what if you need to get in and say the battery is dead... What options
Answer:	Hey Chris! The hidden key hole is positioned at the bottom of the lock, which gives extra security in case of key hole hackers. You can always use your mechanical key as a backup.

Answer:	You only need the existing door knob as the Kwikset will service as your deadbolt.
Question:	Can the deadbolt be rekeyed to match the lower lock key the style is the older key not a smart key
Answer:	It is in the National Building Code that you can not have a double keyed deadbolt. Just for safety. People can not get out of a house in a fire with smoke when they can't get the key. This is SAFETY !!!
