Answer:	I cannot give a 100% answer on this; but the keys for this keyset are pretty unique - as in I tried to get some keys made at a local hardware store and they did not have a blank that fits it. So can you rekey this to match a schulage key - my guess would be no (because if the key matched a schulage key I would think the HW store would have had a matching blank and been able to duplicate it).

Answer:	It is not a push button, it has a lever that you turn to lock the door.

Answer:	Yes... lever/handle and Deadbolt.. I love these Kwikset Smartkeys, BUT I learned that you HAVE to be VERY CAREFUL and SLOW when setting the locks, cause unless you do EXACTLY the steps and the RIGHT DIRECTION to turn the key, you can mess it up!

Question:	Does this set include the levers for both the inside and outside of the door? Or is an interior trim kit needed
Answer:	Everything you need is included. Even their phone number. So when it breaks or looses its programming you can call and get your warranty exchange. I had 2 of 2 break in less than 1 year! Buy a different brand, or just change them again in a few months.
Question:	Just want to be sure, the handle is reversible, correct? For either left or right-side
Answer:	Yes. Some of the other answers are incorrect. You can install this on a left-opening or right-opening door. The handle should curve downwards at the end, and so you need to remove both handles (inside and outside) and swap them in order to get the handles to curve in the right direction, downwards. When I first installed one, I didn't realize this and after a week of the handle curving upwards and not matching the front door, I removed the lock and swapped the handle shells inside-to-outside. That fixed it. I'm less sure if you can control the orientation of the key - ragged edge up vs down. I care far less about that.

Answer:	First of all make sure your using alkaline batteries for some reason they work the best with these.. check and make sure that all of your holes are lined up with the lock.. if they're not lined up properly sometimes the combination lock will not work right..

Answer:	Latch plate alignment is a problem with all sorts of locks. When I upgrade passage sets in my house I often find it necessary to file the plate to get alignment correct. And I do the same with exterior locksets at a commercial facility that I help to manage, including the installation of thousand dollar Trilogy locks. The alignments of different manufacturers' locksets can't be assumed. Just sayin...

Answer:	I purchased 1 online and one from the Xfinity store and was able to pair them both to my Xfinity Home hub without issues. I need 1 more but I'll get it from the Xfinity Store because it's a bit less expensive. I love these locks!
Question:	Is this lock Alexa enabled
Answer:	The Kwikset 99130-002 SmartCode 913 does not have Alexa built in and since it is a Z-Wave protocol device, it will not work with any of the hub-enabled Echo devices. However, if you get a Z-Wave compatible hub, such as Samsung Smartthings hub, you can incorporate that into your network (pretty easy), then you can tell (or ask) Alexa to lock the door. I hope this helps.
Question:	can this be put on outside side door, it will be in the weather
Answer:	That is probably best asked of Kwikset who can be reached at their website. My opinion is that if it can be subjected directly to moisture (rain, snow) and extreme temperatures that would be a problem since the keypad is on the outside. The main electronics are in the inside unit and would thereby be protected. I have one installed on my front door but it is protected by a storm door and roof over the front stoop. If practical the installation of a storm door would probably give it the necessary protection.
Question:	Is there a version of this that does not have the thumb turn inside? I don't want someone to break my window and reach inside for the thumb turn
Answer:	You should add window film to the inside of the window that will prevent thieves from being able to break the window.

Answer:	No. This is a fire hazard and is illegal for the same reason as double cylinder deadbolts. I got a security chain and put it at the top of the door where my kids can't reach.

Answer:	You can't use this with standard deadbolt spacing. I have it on my garage door with no deadbolt. Kwikset 913 is the deadbolt version of this that I got for my front door. Question:	If you lock the door on the inside, how do you open it on the inside? can you just push down the handle, or do you need to turn the lock button first
Answer:	To unlock it from the inside, you have to turn the lock mechanism counterclockwise. To relock it you turn it clockwise. Turning the handle does not unlock the door. That is how I want it---makes easy to check that the door is locked before going to bed.

Answer:	There is a usb port on the lock
Question:	What happens if the locking mechanism stops working? Can you remove it and manually unlock the bolt from the door like an analog tumbler

Answer:	Look on the underside of the box there is a printed manual on it. Master code says 12345678 which I’m sure is generic. Also you can google how to change code and YouTube pulls up a video.
