Answer:	Yes, it is called nose wire,double wires inside a plastic cover, so it is not easy to bounce back after adjusting. If you make the mask tight seal to your face by tightening the ear loops, then press the nose wire tight to your nose, your glasses will not fog, indoor or outdoor. Our masks have a true 3D design, there is ample room inside the mask for air flow, you will not breathe in the cloth layers and feel stuffy. Question:	What would i need for 2 doors
Answer:	Without the separate Connect device, the August lock relies on Bluetooth for communications. That means that you have to be within Bluetooth range to use the August app to lock/unlock the door. If you want the lock to use WiFi for communication, you need the Connect device. WiFi is needed to control the August lock remotely (out of Bluetooth range) including using Alexa or other devices to control the lock.
Question:	Is it more reliable than the 2nd Gen? My 2G version failed all the time, replaced twice under warranty, and still not perfect
Answer:	It’s a lot better than the 2G. I’ve had it for 4 months and I’ve had no problems whatsoever. The remote access is instant as compared to the 2G which took like 30-60 seconds. I definitely recommend it
Question:	Once i come home and am in the door, does it lock automatically while i'm at home? every time i'm just near the back door will it unlock by mistake
Answer:	The phone app tries to unlock the door automatically just once every time you have been several hundred yards away from your home.
Question:	What about Alexa? If someone shouts to Alexa to unlock the door, will she do it without question

Answer:	The Bluetooth range is about 30 feet. If an authorized phone or fob is active and within Bluetooth range, it may cause the lock to cycle between lock and unlock. Keep in mind the authorized phone or fob must be active, and within range, for the lock to UNLOCK under these circumstances.
Question:	How do I set the lock to open without having to open the Kevo app on iPhone
Answer:	No, the lock uses a Bluetooth connection from your phone, the hub is not necessary. The hub is only necessary to connect to the internet so you can operate the lock from anywhere.

Answer:	I purchased 1 online and one from the Xfinity store and was able to pair them both to my Xfinity Home hub without issues. I need 1 more but I'll get it from the Xfinity Store because it's a bit less expensive. I love these locks!
Question:	Can you use this to prevent children going outside at night
Answer:	The Kwikset 99130-002 SmartCode 913 does not have Alexa built in and since it is a Z-Wave protocol device, it will not work with any of the hub-enabled Echo devices. However, if you get a Z-Wave compatible hub, such as Samsung Smartthings hub, you can incorporate that into your network (pretty easy), then you can tell (or ask) Alexa to lock the door. I hope this helps.
Question:	can the autolock delay be set to 10 minutes
Answer:	That is probably best asked of Kwikset who can be reached at their website. My opinion is that if it can be subjected directly to moisture (rain, snow) and extreme temperatures that would be a problem since the keypad is on the outside. The main electronics are in the inside unit and would thereby be protected. I have one installed on my front door but it is protected by a storm door and roof over the front stoop. If practical the installation of a storm door would probably give it the necessary protection.
Question:	I purchased this lock but i can't enter the master. it keeps flashing red and beeping 3 times. could someone help? i went through all the steps over
Answer:	You should add window film to the inside of the window that will prevent thieves from being able to break the window.

Answer:	To clarify the previous answer. With no Wifi you WOULDN'T be able to control it remotely. Only close-in using the bluetooth connection

Answer:	Yes, most of the Kwikset single cylinder deadbolts work fine. I had an old Kwikset lock and it worked fine with my August smart locks of the 2nd and now 4th generations. I believe that August has a list of tested locks on their website. but many other Kwitset lock, not listed there, work as well.
Question:	My front door is sticky and when it's only partially closed the deadbolt can be sticky. Will this be a problem
Answer:	Yes, it will be in my experience. You need to solve it first. I invited a carpenter who solved this problem for my front door before installing the August smart lock.

Answer:	Hello Courtney - I recently purchased 80 of these locks. My best advice is this... premium batteries = best results. We tried using Amazon batteries to begin with however there is no way of physically seeing the expiration date / life date prior to making the purchase so... our batteries are expiring quickly. As we have started to replace them we have switched to a very expensive very high end long life battery with MUCH better results. Keep this in mind, even if your batteries die you can access the lock with a 9V batterie externally. There are two metal spots on the bottom of the lock, hold the 9V conductive points to those metal spots (not particular direction) and start the process of entering your code. It works easier with 2 people but can be done alone. Also easier if you send someone with you a Bluetooth key. So, you can actually never be locked out! This company is extremely responsive and has a great customer service department who will stay on the phone with you and walk you through the process. I DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY OR REPRESENT THEM IN ANYWAY. Good Luck! Denise

Answer:	Press the "House" button on the lower left hand side of the keypad and it will light up without entering a number.

Answer:	The history log is at the bottom of the Schlage Home app page. It records "how" the lock was operated--even if you NEVER add user codes different from the default codes. Using the inside lever causes these history log entries: Locked by Thumbturn (time and date) Unlocked by Thumbturn (time and date) Locking by pushing the lock symbol on the touchscreen causes this entry: Locked by Touchscreen (time and date) When I use the Schalge Home app to lock and unlock, history shows cause these entries: Locked by Bill (time and date) Unlocked by Bill (time and date) IF YOU ADD USER CODES, the default codes (under the battery cover) stop functioning. Since I named a custom code "Primary", using it to unlock causes this history entry: Unlocked by Primary (time and date) see less
Question:	If I have a power outage will a pre programed code still work
Answer:	Yes. It operates on batteries. However, you will not be able to use the app to access the lock during a power outage as your wifi will most likely be off too. Power being out does not effect the normal lock/unlock functionality.
Question:	Does it have auto-lock function
Answer:	It's probably confusing when you get both yes and no answers! I just installed the lock. There are two apps used to control it. Amazon Key and Schlange Home. It's a bit confusing, but you'll want both. Both apps have an Auto Lock setting. You can select 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes or 4 minutes. Navigating the apps is not obvious. For Amazon Key, go to "Settings" in the main menu, select the lock name (Encode if you didn't change it) and look for Auto Relock. In Schlange App, use the settings icon at the bottom of the page (using iOS; not sure about Android); choose "Auto Lock Delay". Hope this helps.

Answer:	We installed my father's lock on December 26th - by January 1st, the lock was dead .. installed 4 more high quality batteries on January 1st and today (January 11th), battery status is down to 19% ... Just got off the phone with Kwikset and now they are telling me that if my father's router isn't on their list of compatible routers, all batteries will drain extremely fast ... would have been nice to have known that --- we bought this for my 93 year old father who lives alone ... not happy with Kwikset right now.

The Kevo Plus allows you to remotely unlock/lock the Kevo from farther away than 30 ft. The Kevo Plus connected to an internet router is necessary for remote access to the 2nd generation Kevo and is compatible with mutiple Kevo locks. Question:	Will this unit last in a corrosive salt air environment near the ocean
Answer:	A locksmith might be able to do this. I had a similar situation at a rental property and a locksmith replaced my whole tumbler of a kwikset lock to accept the Schlage master key.
Question:	Does this version work with Nest
Answer:	If you have the Bluetooth key fob, after opening and closing the lock a few times with it, the phone seems to "take over" even though the app isn't open. I found that on my phone if I open the Kevo app and close it, I cannot lock or unlock the door unless the app is open. However, with the Bluetooth key fob, after the lock opens and closes a few times using it, the phone takes over after that even with the app closed. That's my experience, and I hope that helps!
