Answer:	If I understand your question: it only allows four directions (up, down, left, right.) But what I think you're getting at is how many steps you can add. In that case, you can enter pretty much as many steps as your like (Gismodo used 30 steps successfully). Personally, I've set mine for eight, giving 1:65,563 odds (and that's only if a stranger knew that I had used eight, which they wouldn't.) If you want to use five, that's fine, and will give the odds of 1:1024 (assuming it was publicly known that you only used five steps.)

Answer:	In my opinion, the Blue is the worst for visibility. The stickers are dark blue with black text - almost impossible for me to read except under a bright light. However, the great thing about these locks is that once you remember the sequence you don't have to be able to read the sticker labels. Also you can choose a simple sequence or a more difficult one. For my work locks I use an eight movement sequence. For my son's lock I use a four movement sequence. I love these locks.

Answer:	Although there are infinitely many sequences you can set as the combination, the lock has only 7,500 internal positions, not counting the reset position. This means that if you set a particular sequence to open the lock, there are infinitely many other sequences that will also open the lock. For example, if you set the combination to LURL (left-up-right-left), the lock will also open with the sequence RLL. Some people consider this a bug or defect, I think it is simply a technical aspect that is not disclosed to consumers because the mechanical explanation is too complex for the average consumer. This technical paper by a lock collector in the Netherlands has a more detailed mathematical explanation https://toool.nl/images/e/e5/The_New_Master_Lock_Combination_Padlock_V2.0.pdf . One of the interesting takeaways from this paper is that every sequence longer than 11 moves is equivalent to some sequence of 11 or fewer moves. So it does not make any sense to torture yourself to remember a 12-move or 13-move sequence. For instance, UUUURRRRDDDDD is the same as LLURD.

Answer:	Are you sure you set it up correctly according to thd instructions? I personally have not had a problem with it. You have to make sure that the lock is pushed down all the way with the 4 digit code you set it up with. After it is locked, you must shuffle the numbers to make sure it is secure. Make sure your son is lining up the numbers in the middle and not from the sides. If non of these suggestions work, you should email the company, and ask how to reset. Start to use

There are 2 groups password for you to use the cabinet lock at the first time.User code "1111"and Master lock "0000 0000", Both the user code and the master code are at latest 4-10 digits.

1. Input the right password you set (If you haven't changed, Please use the default password), then press "#"button to turn on lock.

2. If the password is correct, the green LED on;Or, the Yellow LED flick.

3. Please pull the door during the green led on.

Remark:"#"button for confirmation;"*"button for elimination.

Turn off lock

Private type: Push the cabinet door to the close situation, then can turn off lock.

Public type: When cabinet lock at the state of opening (Latch/bolt at the state of retract) , push cabinet door to the state of closing, Input the password which you set, and press "#" button to confirm.

Then can turn off lock(Input the password you set ,it can turn on lock again).

How to change your password 

1. Press twice the green button until the yellow light flash, then enter your old password

2. Press the green button to confirm

3. Enter your new password

4. Press the green button to confirm;

5. Green light flash one time,after beep twice, showing the new user password changed successfully.

Emergency Treatment

Answer:	Hi, no power cable is needed. It need 4 X AAA 1.5v alkaline batteries.
Question:	Can this be manually unlocked if the batteries die
Answer:	Hi.... There is no "manual unlock" option, but the "override" is via an external micro USB port where you can give the lock power from the outside ( from a powerbank etc.) and thus be able to unlock it via the normal way /keypad. Hope this helps.
