Answer:	Yes. I got some blackout curtains (2 panels 54x84 that weigh 4lbs total) and a small Cafe curtain Rod (7/16) and my curtains are able to open & close and they stay up. I originally got a curtain rod the was 7/8 Thick and it was too big to sit in the hook. Any curtain rod that is thinner than that will fit better. The finials on my cafe rod are small too. I did follow the command instructions ( press for 10 seconds, remove the hook, press for 30 seconds, put the hook back, let stand for 1 hour, then I put my curtains & rod on). Works like a charm.

Answer:	I just put a 1" rod in these (long, sliding glass door window - can't really get a smaller diameter rod) and they seem to be resting well enough in these hooks. A 7/8" or 3/4" rod would probably be the biggest comfortable fit though. I am definitely considering just adding some tape because I'm slightly worried the rod is just going to pop over out of the hooks. They're a bit close to the wall, but for a dorm room or somewhere you can't put screws, they definitely do a good job. Just make sure you follow the directions & don't put weight on them for at least an hour after putting them on your wall.

I was tired of reaching for a towel from the shower - so it is placed on a tile border for easier access. It is not designated for wet areas, but is holding up in the humid conditions. Answer:	I don’t know what kind of stain you used on the door, but stains typically have oils and petrochemicals. The Command Strip instructions say that you can apply them to stained wood. I would wait a week or two first. That should give time for the petrochemical fumes to dissipate and for the oil’s to solidify. Then I would clean the surface with a Magic Eraser and alcohol before applying the Command Strips. If the stain comes off on the Magic Eraser, you might want to wait a bit longer.
