Answer:	Yes! In fact, I never installed it to begin with. The seed guard is not screwed to the cage, but only screwed to itself (each of the four sides) with two little screws. It slides into some slots on the cage. You can easily unscrew one of the sides of the seed guard to take it off. Or, if you were feeling strong, I guess you could leave it assembled and just lift it off over the top of the cage.

Answer:	the large one under the hub cover (top) is 2" hole. On the right-left -bottom the knockout measure 7/8 1 1/8 1 3/8 and 1 3/4 increments (I don't know what trade size those correspond with)

Answer:	I don’t think it’s galvanized steel but it is rated for outdoor use so hopefully it holds up. We live in Florida and installed one. The metal is very thick. The knock out for pipe would not come out, we had to use a unibit to remove it.
