Answer:	A moderate load is important to check AAA, AA, C, D and 9v or any other battery for that matter. The reason is the open circuit voltage check does not indicate if the battery has the Current capability to sustain the nominal 1.5 or 9.0v under a light to moderate load for a brief 1-3 seconds. Even with a loaded test, it does not indicate the remaining Amp Hours. But a loaded test is a quick and easy light weight check and is a step better than not loaded.

Answer:	What the package says is that it tests 1.5 miniature cells and shows a photo of a button battery in the tester on the back side of the package. However, the photo shows a small button battery. It may work with a larger button - the testing area seems to be about 3/4" across, so as long as the button can be centered in that space, it might work.

Answer:	Hmmm-it will do button batteries, but hearing aid are so small and i don't know their (dc) voltage is 1.5v as buttons. If they work-you can hear- use...if not dump and put new ones in....not worth the time (I think),

The replace voltage indication is based on the minimum voltage requirement of most of the devices the batteries are used in. Therefore, the tester will give a valid indication of when to replace the cells, regardless of the cell chemistry. Lithium cells have a more abrupt voltage drip at end of life, so these testers' indications can be trusted.
