Question:	Is there a way to use this for security? will it notify you remotely or ifttt when it senses motion
Answer:	Yes. I have mine pointed at my front door. Whenever it senses movement and I am not home (ie: my cell phone isn’t home) I get an alert on my phone. While it works for security, I also use it to know when maintenance is in my apartment, and it also triggers turning on the main lights. It’s all setup through iOS Home, so not sure about ifttt or Android. But definitely possible!
Question:	What is the minimum amount of time after leaving the room before the lights turn off
Answer:	There’s a setting in the app that says “when there is no motion after ___ minutes” the quickest setting is 1 minute. Then from there 2,3,5,7,10, and increments up to 60.
Question:	What's the difference between this one(473389) and the other one
Answer:	I have four Hue sensors– two in black boxes, two in blue boxes. The sensors in black boxes are not HomeKit compatible. The sensors in the blue boxes are. I don't know how that lines up with the product numbers.
Question:	What's the battery life on this? Does the amount of traffic affect how long the battery last
Answer:	Pretty much the shelf life of the battery. It's been more than three years since I bought the 1st gen and it's working just fine to trigger a garage and entry hall - and it has been well over 110 in that area for much of this past summer. I've not pulled the patent applications nor reverse engineered it but the circuit stays low (the least amount of power consumed) during the period consisting of daylight or other room lights on. I my case I'd bet that the sensor is consuming current for six hours a day for nearly 1,000 days.

Question:	Do you have hard wired version? Normally the sensor is mounted somewhere out of reach. Why would anyone wants to change battery periodically
Answer:	No one WANTS to change a battery periodically but if there is no available outlet, it’s better than nothing. And every couple of years is no big deal. (Plus it looks much better if there is no electrical cord running down the side of your house.)
Question:	Can I use this to trigger other smart outlets
Answer:	Short answer: Yes Long answer: It depends. I don’t know how home automation works with android, but Phillips Hue is Apple HomeKit compatible. The sensor shows up as 3 sensors in the Apple Home app, motion sensor, light/lux sensor, and temperature sensor. You can create automation rules in Apple Home that can control any HomeKit compatible outlet. I don’t know if Phillips Hue has released any smart outlets (pretty sure they just do lighting), but if so then you could probably create a routine for it in the Hue app. Note: If you’re new to HomeKit, you should be aware that Apple HomeKit automation only works when you have an Apple device acting as a home automation hub. This can either be an AppleTV or iPad (that stays at home). If all you have is an iPhone, it either won’t work at all, or if it does it will only work when your iPhone is connected to your home WiFi.
Question:	How long will the battery last
Answer:	About 2-3 years
Question:	Any way to keep the floodlights on (at a dim level) and they get brighter when detecting motion. AND off altogether if it's daylight
Answer:	Glad to see there's finally a work around for this. I previously had an app (I can't remember the name) that allowed you to create logic linked to any smart platform... and also use things like the Nest Doorbell... so I had it set to: Hue came on sunset at 10% dim. If Nest detects person, set Hue outdoor lights to 100% Brightness for 30sec., then activate scene 10% dim. It worked great, but the people who developed that app discontinued it. It worked for a while afterward too but then one day just stopped. I'm so glad to see I can do this again!!! (since you can buy "dumb" lights that do this on their own with 2 level dusk dawn motion sensors)

Question:	Is this device stand alone no need of a hub? does the app work on iphone
Answer:	This will interface with whatever program you use to connect devices, I use “smart life”. From there the divorce is shared with Alexa (which is controlled by my iPhone). In terms of hardware, really you just need a router to get the signal to you. No need for special hub, above anything you already have... obviously if you have smart lights etc, they already connect through something to be turned on by your phone. Hope this helps

Answer:	Yes, I use Alexa App. And it allowed me to have interaction if no motion was detected. The setting allows me to set the amount of time in which (IF) there is no motion detection it will shut off or turn on WiFi enabled devices through the Alexa app.

Answer:	I’m sure it can, I use smart life to get it registered, then Alexa for me, but google will do the same

Question:	How does this device's pet rejection feature work? I'm worried my big dog will set it off
Answer:	When setting up your sensor, the app will walk you through a different pairing process if you are a pet parent. Although the sensitivity of our sensors has been engineered to rule out as much pet activity as possible, there are other steps you'll need to take. Our first recommendation is to keep sensors away from surfaces your animal frequents (favorite chairs or window ledges) as this will help prevent false alarms. You'll also be advised to mount the sensor with the dome facing upwards (you'll have a visual example in the app) and at a slightly different height than non-pet parents. Question:	Why does it take 5 mins to arm itself and start sensing? Why not immediately
Answer:	Wireless motion detectors in many home security brands (notably Ademco in my experience) save battery by only transmitting once every x amount of minutes. If it detects motion and then you arm it, it won't see anything for 5 minutes because of the battery saving feature. Imagine if the motion detector would transmit every second of movement it sees. It will run the battery down very fast.

Answer:	Slide the front of the sensor upwards (away from the sensor dome) and pull the front cover off. Question:	If I manually turn on a switch, is there a setting where the motion sensor turn the lights off after a certain period of inactivity
Answer:	When the motion sensor is controlling a light, the light will always turn off automatically (at a time set by you) whether you use the switch or not. Keep in mind that the light must also be connected to a Lutron wireless wall switch or plug in dimmer.
Question:	Can more than one pd-osens be used simultaneouly with the pd-6ans switch
Answer:	Yes, multiple PD-OSENS may be used with a PD-6ANS. Lutron recommends having both sensors and the PD-6ANS contained in the same room within the Caseta app.

Question:	Does Lutron make an outdoor version of this
Answer:	Not that I am aware of. However, I would be first in line to get one. It would be great for security. Lutron does make an outdoor plugin type plug that is wirelessly controlled. It was just announced.

Question:	Does this work with Wink
Answer:	Wink does recognize some multisensors. I am running a Wink 2 hub and have connected some non-certified sensors, both ZigBee and ZWave. I have not tried these sensors. The Wink system is very simple and I have replaced my Casa Verde with the Wink (I was using both and Casa Verde had a plug in that worked with the WInk hub as well.
Question:	How fast should humidity reflect reality? Took a shower 40 minutes ago, humidity is normal in bathroom now, and device just reported it is still
Answer:	Depending on the reporting threshold you have set for the sensor, it would change as fast as 3 minutes after the threshold is met. So if humidity threshold is left at the default 10%, it will need to decrease by 10% or more for the sensor to report the change. If it only changed by 9%, it won't be reported so if you're looking to monitor humidity closely, we recommend changing the reporting threshold for humidity to 2-3% for more frequent reports.
Question:	Does this also work as a z-wave range extender
Answer:	Battery operated devices, such as this, will not work as a range extender since the radio is off most of the time or turns on and off.
Question:	Can this be used outside
Answer:	I've been using mine outdoors. Mine is mounted high under the cover of the front porch and I use it to notify of outdoor activity and to turn on the outside lights at night when there is motion. This motion sensor is slow to respond, day or night, if it responds at all. I have the same issue with the other two that I use indoors in bathrooms.

Answer:	No wifi needed. It has its own wireless signal. Just adjust transmitter for motion sensor distance and plug it.

Answer:	Follow the written instructions precisely. The one bad thing about this door bell is changing chimes is not convenient. It does work. With that being said I had to send the first one I received back and get another one. I have had it awhile and it works fine.
Question:	Can it make a sound to keep rabbits away from my garden
Answer:	Possibly if you have electricity by the garden, but I’m not sure how weather proof it may be, there is a sprinkler that has a sensor that is commonly used for deer, that may work. It gives a 2 second blast of water when triggered

Question:	Can one of these be use as a 2-switch system. I have one switch that act as 2 switch for thr living room and another one for the kitchen
Answer:	If your intent is to use these switches as a 3-way (2 switches controlling 1 set of lights) then yes, our switches can do that. However, both switches will need to be C by GE switches. Please contact our support staff for more information regarding the switches, thank you!
Question:	Can this switch connect to and control C by GE smart plugs? and/or third party smart plugs
Answer:	It will work with the C by GE Smart Plug by adding them to the same room within the C by GE app. It will not work with 3rd party products.
Question:	I have ge smart lights, if i buy this and turn the switch off will the light bulb still work properly
Answer:	This took me a while to figure out but as long as all the bulbs being powered of this switch are C by GE light bulbs and you tell the switch that through the C by GE app on your phone, then yes, they will remain always connected. However, if just one bulb off the switch isn't a C by GE smart bulb this setting won't work right.

Question:	How do you use the smart sensor
Answer:	motion sensor that can be paired with an alarm using a smart hub ( samsung smart things) -- the hub can then send you a text if it is tripped.
Question:	Will it work with the Echo Plus
Answer:	Echo Plus uses a Zigbee radio for communication and at this time does not support sensors. Any Z-Wave items like this GE 34193 will require a hub like SmartThings, Wink, Iris, or others to operate.
Question:	Can it be paired with Smart life app
Answer:	Z-Wave devices are not Wi-Fi Enabled. They cannot connect to Wi-Fi or the internet by themselves. All Z-Wave devices require a hub such as SmartThings, Wink, Iris, or others, and they have their own app that would control operate the Z-Wave device.
Question:	Will this motion sensor work through glass to detect motion outside
Answer:	Unfortunately, this cannot be used for this purpose. In order for the PIR (Passive Infrared) Sensor to detect motion it registers temperature in its detection zone. This is blocked by a window, as it cannot detect on the other side of the glass.
