Question:	How many Watts does the unit itself consume
Answer:	According to the technical details on the product description page , this timer consumes a fairly high 1725 watts. However, when I checked a number of comparable digital timers, I found similarly high levels of wattage ranging from 1000w to 1850w. I find this very surprising since these timers have an LCD display and no motor like their mechanical counterparts. By way of comparison, my mechanical timers consume 1750w.

Answer:	Yes, you can set the time to turn off for 1 minute then turn on. For example, you can set it turn off on 4:00am wed, then turn on 4:01am wed.

Answer:	I think the 1875 watts is how many watts it can support. We used it for a space heater, which was around 1500 watts, so it should work for almost any device, but it wouldn't support two space heaters, for example.

Answer:	It’s not silent; the mechanism makes a little sound — not a clock-like ticking — every few seconds as the clock slowly advances. I use mine primarily to switch lights in my home office when I am in another part of the house or away from home. So noise is not a problem. Answer:	The timer just switches power to the lamp, so the three way bulb will run at whatever wattage the switch on the lamp is set to.

Answer:	As many as you want. Every half hour has a tab. You put the tab up for "on" and down for "off", if you wanted to, you could have the lights go on and off every half hour all day long. I set the Christmas lights to go on in the morning while I am getting ready, then go off, then come on again at supper time, and off at midnight. I have tried just about every type of timer out there, and this one is the simplest by far, and my favorite. I probably have 15 of them turning lights on and off throughout the house. My 10 year old can set it no problem.

Answer:	Do you mean you set it once for that and it does it everyday? The answer is yes. Do you mean can you just set it for one day? You would have to change the setting after that one day because once you put in a setting (and whatever is plugged into that side) it keeps doing those times everyday. It's very easy to set!
Question:	Can you safely use an additional extension cord with this surge protector
Answer:	While you CAN daisy-chain extension cords, it's not a good idea. the longer the cord is, the more resistance there is. This creates heat in the wires, and power loss over distance. As resistance goes up, heat goes up, and power drain grows larger. Eventually you end up with a fire hazard, not to mention excess cost for energy used, as well as power loss at the terminus. Having said all that, it really depends on the length of the cords and the amount of power draw you're using. If you're using just a few outlets on one strip and attach another fairly short (like less than 8', for example) extension cord for greater reach, you should be fine.

Answer:	No. 4 outlets work on a timer, the other 4 are live all the time. You can put a secondary timer in the always live outlet to run your light as a solution

The Honeywell Econoswitch 7-day solar programmable wall switch can help save money by ensuring that your lights come on only when you need them. The sleek design mounts flush with standard decorative wall plate (not included). There are three operating modes: manual (conventional on and off switch), automatic, and random. There are up to 7 programs (7 on and off) per week. A program can apply to a single day or repeat every day. The connection is a single pole 3-wire (line, load, neutral 1800-watt maximum, 3/4-horsepower at 120-volt). For each day of the week, one is able to choose sunset and sunrise programming. Question:	Does this require a neutral wire? I only have 2 switch wires
Answer:	Yes, a Neutral is required. You must have 3 wires in total. Hot, Neutral, and Load. You CANNOT use a ground as your Neutral. If you are not sure which wire is wich then please consult an electrician. Please be aware that not all switches require a Neutral. Dumb switches only require a Hot and a Load. Years and Years ago they only wired switches with the Hot and Load. It was until around the 70s that the neutral was included at the switch point. Prior it was only located at the load. Load = the device that you want to control with the switch such as a light, motor, etc..
Question:	Can it be used to replace a switch in 3-way switch

Question:	I know it can self adjust the time based on coordinates, but can you program it to leave the lights, etc. on for only 2 hours after being turned on
Answer:	Yes, You can program 7 separate on/off times. In my case, I have it scheduled to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise (all week). This is 1 program. I still have 6 programs remaining. So you could schedule random on off times for any day of the week you wish. For instance, on at 8:00pm and off at mid-night (Monday, Tuesday, and Friday). This would be 1-program.
Question:	What happens if the power goes out? Does the timer remember the settings, or does it reset
Answer:	I just spoke with an AUBE tech (owns Honeywell) about this astro timer on 8/07/19. He told me they use a super capacitor now that will hold the time AND program settings for a period of approximately 2 hours during a power outage. After two hours of the power being off, the time of day will need to be reset, but the program should still remain intact.

Answer:	The timer has a built-in battery so it's why the clocks are still keeping time. You can just leave the timer if you don't use it anymore. The timer will be shut off when the battery is out of power.

I have the timer in my living room and I can hear it grinding over movies and TV. Replaced it with the other timer in the 2 pack, same result. These timers are junk. Don't buy.
