Question:	What is the outer diameter
Answer:	I am not a vet, but I can tell you my 12 yr 10 month old German Shepherd was taking Carprofen as well. That stuff is so expensive, and I did not like the idea it was mfg in England I believe. Anyway, after three months I didn't see any difference, and he seemed to go down hill. I ordered two of the Vets Best items. The Aches and pain one, and I can't remember what the name of the other one was, but they seemed to work better than the Rx. I made a mistake by getting the mobile vet to come out. He misdiagnosed Charlie. Took him to another vet which was recommended by a friend. He was wonderful. He said Charlie had had a back injury, and that is what caused his back legs to weaken. I showed him the Vet's Best items, and he said they were fine to use.

When you give it to a dog the dog gets dependent on ot when it's no longer given they suffer with withdrawals I was given tramadol in 1997 I was told it was not addictive in any way it was safe help great for back pain So i took it and was addicted to it for 6 years. Of you take tramdol while withdrawing from another strong opiate it would stop them. So better to do natural for your dog. It is a horrible drug.

Answer:	I was researching both glucosamine and chondroitin on the Arthritis Foundation website. I was curious about what each of these compounds did for one's joints and what the difference was between them, i.e., why take both? According to the Arthritis Foundation website, there seems to be some question about whether the body can fully absorb both compounds when taken together. For this reason, I am changing from a glucosamine/chondroitin combination supplement to just glucosamine. They add msm which some say helps with arthritis and joint issues. I don't know if msm helps or not, but at least I haven't read anything yet about msm possibly interfering with full glucosamine absorption. So, for now, I am going with just glucosamine (with msm) supplements for both my husband and I and our dogs. Don't know if this will help you. You might want to do some of your own research into what the two compounds supposedly do and if they should be used together or not and make your own decision.
