Hence, you have to maneuver the plug a little to accomplish this. Personally, I do not like TR outlets for this reason but they are code since they help avoid the possibility of electrocution should something be inserted into one side. Somehow, however, we all survived childhood!!! ;)

Question:	What's the point of having the usb ports if you have to use the chargers in the outlets? will the usb ports charge an ipad at 10 watts with the cord
Answer:	The USB ports have worked great for me and my iPad 2. The only thing to be sure about is the cord you use. If you are having trouble charging your iPad, there is a good chance that you may be using a cord that does not work.
Question:	I received this today and can’t plug my light into it. I don’t want to brake anything. Do you have to kind of force the plug the first time
Answer:	I did not experience any problem. Does your light plug into the wall socket without a problem? Try moving the plug up ang down while pushing it in.

Answer:	From instructions (you do NOT remove the outlet cover, only the screw):Locate the screw hole in the center of the surge protector. Remove the screw from the wall outlet plate. Plug the unit into the wall outlet and secure it using the screw supplied in the package.

Answer:	At this time SmartThings does not have an official device handler to utilize the motion sensor separately. There are community device handlers available on the SmartThings community forum that can allow you this functionality though.

Answer:	When you are dealing with standalone sensors (Z-Wave, Zigbee, or otherwise), the signal has to be sent to the hub, then the hub has to act on whatever rule you have created. This can be delayed depending on the hubs processes and priority internally. This GE 26933 controls the local light internally, and does not rely on an external hub or other controller to turn the light on. This means that the local light will turn on instantly when motion is detected and the dimmer is in Occupancy (Default) mode.

Answer:	I have this model. I bought it based on the 10-Star ratings I found when I did online research. So far I've never had a surge or spike that activated mine. You obviously bought one that did. If the User Manual that came with it didn't show how to reset, you might want to contact their Customer Service (1-877-800-4272) or Technical Support (1-800-555-2725). If these number's aren't current, then go to their website and click on Contact. This company has been around since 1981, and their longevity gives creedence to the quality of their products. Answer:	Yeah I measure 2" from the wall including my wall plate. There is a slight gap and the unit is about 1-5/8". I took a picture but don't know where to post it.

Very bad quality unit and I had to replace it. I spent way too much to hire someone to install it then replace it later. Totally wasted money.

Answer:	Tying it the same neutral doesn't matter. As long as the hot from the bottom can be separated from the hot on the btop, then the answer is yes...on the old school outlets, you just snip the metal piece joining the top to the bottom.
