| Answer: | Yes, the outlet has a built in jumper/bridge between both the hot and neutral terminals as is standard on most outlets, only one set of terminal screws needs to be energized for both outlets to function. However, if you desire to have the outlets operate independently than the jumper between the terminal screws has a break away tab you can break off with a pair off pliers that will sever the connection.
