Having said that, I do not usually recommend this material for flooring, especially the painted product. It will not hold up to heavy things being drug across it. If only tennis shoes or tires will be on it and it is well mounted to a solid floor, then it should be OK. The abrasion on the painted product will wear off the paint over time. It is a high quality paint, but you wouldn't put your feet on the outside of your car door. |

| Answer: | According to Malco website, this item is rated to cut up to a 20 gauge maximum in GALVENIZED metal. I am not sure if stainless would be considered a harder substance. Since 20 gauge is the maximum, I would use this product very slowly and carefully while attempting to cut. I would also have additional bits on hand in case it should break in the middle of a project. |

| Answer: | I've never cut plastic with mine, but I have cut hundreds and hundreds of holes in sheet metal. My guess is that it would work fine in plastic IF you take your time and let the bit do the cutting. Pressing too hard or attempting to force the bit might cause the plastic to get hot ant melt against the bit. That would be a mess. |

| Answer: | I would think not as it is sized to fit tightly over an edge that is only 1/16 inch thick. I don't know of any carpet that thin. Similar edging is made for other thicknesses and may fit but my concern is that if it is not pressed up against a "wall" of some type it would be "kicked " off. It grips pretty well but is not meant to be walked on or pushed/kicked. These replacement charcoal filters work as did the original. I had ho problem with them (but found them at Walmart locally). |
