Question:	The unit states on the device to mount in a metal box only. My current device was in standard wall plastic junction box behind door chime. Work
Answer:	Yes it will. The requirement for a metal box is because the unit throws off a little heat and could, under certain rare circumstances, melt the box. Your doorbell or chimes is highly unlikely to pull enough power to heat the unit enough to do that. Why not install the unit, inspect it after an hour, 4 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours and a week. I’m sure you’ll find no indicia of heat damage. If you’re really concerned, replace the box.

Answer:	The connecting Distance (Detector- Watch) is up to 650 ft. The detecting Distance(Detector-Targets) is up to 65 ft.

Question:	Will this eork with the 2020 release
Answer:	Yes you can but it goes on top of the corner kit and it looks kind of bulky.
Question:	Can you extend the wire using something like door bell wire/ethernet wire.? I need more then 20ft
Answer:	This is mounted first and Ring mounts to it. So unless you’ve already mounted the Ring to the wall somewhere, there should be no extra holes. If there is a need to remount your ring, this is slightly bigger than the ring and would fit over where you previously made holes. In this case there would be extra holes but not seen
Question:	Does this work with a Ring 3 plus
Answer:	My Doorbell 3 faces west and gets about 6 hours of indirect sun and about 12 hits a day and battery has never dipped below 85% and at the end of the day is usually at 89-90%
Question:	Will this work with Ring 2 Doorbell
Answer:	We have this same ring set up for 6 months and the solar panel has received direct sunlight for 6-8 a day and has not charged the unit. As we have moved into shorter days and less sunlight I can only depend on my Ring door bell for 3 weeks then I must remove it and charge it for 24 hours. I wish I had returned the solar panels.
