Answer:	It's actually made to be plugged into a grounded wall socket, replacing the 2 3-pronged outlets with its 6 available grounded outlets. It can even replace the outlet cover and be screwed into place. I've got a bunch of these and love them.

Answer:	against the wall, mine is about 4 inches wide, 4 3/4 inches tall, and about 1 3/4 inches deep

Answer:	All power for this device comes from the TOP outlet of your receptacle -- so if that is switched then all outlets on this device will be switched (or if your bottom outlet is switched then all outlets on this device will NOT be switched).
Question:	Can this actually completely replace the existing outlet wall plate, or does it only plug in/screw on TOP of the wall plate
Answer:	My outlets are flush with the cover plate surface. Both the outlet and cover plate surfaces stand proud of the wall surface about 3/16". After I remove the center screw from the cover plate , install the new wall plug adapter into the original plug [with or without the original wall plate] the new wall plug adapter does not contact the wall surface. It is about 1/8" to 3/16" gap between the wall and the rim of the new wall plug adapter. I don't like this because the result is a wiggly assembly, does not feel solid or secure even though it is firmly screwed into the old, pre-existing outlet. It the new wall plug adapter had a deeper recess on the back [wall] side it would not have this gap and would feel much more secure.

Question:	can it be used on a cruise ship
Answer:	I am not understanding the question. I love mine and it works great. Depending on what you plug into it it may not allow for three plugs to go in if the plugs are wider. I can plug my coffee maker, toaster, and a random other countertop appliance into it when needed as long as the plug from the appliance is not too wide.

Answer:	They are about 3 inches wide. Middle hole is hard to use if the item is bigger than average. I used them for some large plug ins and this allowed me to swivel to fit 2 large plug ins to each of the swivel wall taps. This is a good purchase...

Answer:	This is a hand pump operated fire pump. It will pump water to trees and shrubs but I wouldn't recommend it as it would be quite a workout to use it for that purpose.

Answer:	Reading off of the item in my hand its Stamped "Voltage Protection rating L-N 400V, L-G 500V, N-G 500V Type 3 SPDMy model number on mine says BE11230-08 so there may have been a change.

Answer:	2 amps. But if you plug in two devices it will divide to 1 amp each.

Answer:	Yes! Near the power cord, there is an on off switch.
Question:	I had a lightning strike last night and this popped and made a loud noise and then burning wire smell. Is this normal (how they die)? Fire hazard
Answer:	If you have experienced a lighting strike, the MOVs (metal oxide varistors) that dissipate the energy have been stressed. They may not handle the next strike very well and damage the important equipment you plug into this. It is best to purchase a new one so that it will work properly for the next lighting strike. If this is a common occurrence at your home, you should look into lighting arrestors and better ground for your electrical connection to the power grid. I would not trust the protection light (Green) if you are smelling any sort of burnt wire smell. The likelihood of a fire hazard is increased - if wire insulation has melted due to heat from the lighting strike. If I remember correctly, MOVs usually fail to an open state but I would not bet on it without testing. It is cheap insurance to throw this out and replace it with new.

Answer:	No but it hasn't marked my counters. Felt would probably get wet so I'm not sure I would want it. I have the toothpaste holder, not the soap dispenser, though.

Answer:	I suppose you could place the washcloths on the tray the long way but then you'd have tray showing. I don't think it would be a good look but that's only my personal opinion. Perhaps you can roll up you washcloth and measure it and use the dimensions given for the tray to make up your mind. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful

Answer:	Yes it plugs into household current. It is a 3 prong grounded plug. Has six plugs- 3 on each side. I am sure it could power an electric lawnmower if the plug is a standard household type plug. However I don't think I would run the lawnmower and several other items off it at the same time.

Answer:	Yes, like a large extension cord and plug in unit is also lightweight. Mine is positioned in a stationary place on my terrace but unit didn't seem heavy when I was setting it up.

Answer:	There's a small gold square on the back of this product stating that it is " UL-US listed current tap also listed spd."

Answer:	it has two brass triple pronged plugs, I am not sure if they operate together or separately.

Question:	Is that long screw at center of the plate necessary or can that screw be removed
Answer:	it depends on the devices you want to charge. my iphone can charge on a 5 watt charger. but my ipad needs a 10 watt charger. the ipad will charge over 5 watts but it takes a lot longer. also, the rating is BETWEEN the two ports, so if you want to charge two iPhones together it will take twice as long over 5 watts. if you are trying to charge two iPads over 5 watts, it will take a LOT longer.
Question:	How man amps is this unit rated for 15 or
Answer:	no, it can be screwed directly to the socket in the wall, so very firm hold.
Question:	Will this plug into a 2 prong outlet
Answer:	I have used both and recently went to the one set of prongs and have not had any difficulty. It is easier when dealing with older outlets and the screw secures it well. There is a built in surge protector inside so I do not think it really matters as the protection of the circuitry is present.
Question:	There is conflicting informaton in the answers...does the unit serve the bottom three of its outlets via the bottom wall plug independently
Answer:	I can't think of anyway you could connect a timer that would work with all 6 of the plugs. You can easily connect certain timers on one of the plug-ins and put a power bar on the timer, but be sure that the combined amperage/wattage of all the devices does not exceed the rated capacity of the timer. Also, just because there a 6 plug ports does not mean you can exceed the rated amperage of the wall plugs.

Question:	Can this be used outdoors
Answer:	The 2.4 Amp modelsjth cradle does NOT swivel. People need to read the question. Only the other model swivels. Actually the one with the cradle while made wider horizontally is designed to plug into a vertical outlet...wtf
Question:	I am not able to plug anything into the individual outlet plugs they are too shallow. What am I doing wrong
Answer:	The outlets just pass through whatever voltage it's plugged into. In other words if you plug it into a 220 volt outlet, the three outlets will supply 220 volts.
Question:	what are the dimensions of the whole plug. Not the package
Answer:	I disagree with those who are saying that you will get 2.1A if you use only 1 usb port. I think each port is limited to 1A. I previously bought the 1 AMP model, which is advertised the same way as this, by saying "combined" (there is also a 4.2 AMP model with 4 usb ports that is advertised the same with the "combined" language). When I got the 1 AMP model, the box said that each usb port was "5V / 500mA" (0.5A), so even though they advertised 1 AMP Combined each port could only put out 0.5 AMP. So, to them, "combined" means: "when you are using all of them simultaneously and add the total amps from all ports together." If anyone still has the box for the 2.1, can you see if it says the same? Or if anyone has a usb meter, they could tell us the results. I'd like to know since I have one on the way . . .
