Answer:	The answers given are mostly right, but there is confusion. However, I have pictures of this model (GE # 54947), AND I ohm'ed it out. (If I can't post here, I will follow up with a Review where I know you can post pictures.) For the GE model I noted, there are 6 metal prongs on the back side. Each has a Hot, a Neutral, and a Ground. Each set of 3 is INDEPENDENT of the other. If you had a standard duplex receptacle that, say, was wired with one of the outlets ON, and the other SWITCHED, then that pattern would be reflected on the front of the Adapter. One bank of 3 would be on, and the other bank of 3 would be switched. I verified this by ohmmeter.

Answer:	A 950 W heater at 117 vAC will draw 8.1 amps. This cube tap is rated for 15 A, which gives you an almost 2:1 safety factor. You will be perfectly fine plugging the heater into this cube tap. It is well within the operating margin of the cube tap.

Answer:	You need to fasten the outlet wall plate screw over the green tab in order to complete the path to ground. This will only work if the outlet itself is grounded. Then use an outlet tester (you can buy them at hardware stores) the check if you have a path to ground.
