Question:	I see in the instructions that they state to put a piece diagonally to support the work top. Was there a place in the leg to attach this piece
Answer:	Yes, the upper leg support accommodates the (3) pieces of wood . The left & right sides of the wood are screwed into the leg support and the diagonally placed 2 x 4 is just laid diagonally across (sits on the upper leg bracket).
Question:	Is there anyway to attach caster wheels to make this easier to move
Answer:	YES! In fact it is quite easy to do , "Adding Castors/Wheels", to this workbench. As sturdy as this bench is once built it is easy to flip on it's side or back. And in that position simply attach your wheels. Just make sure you purchase GOOD wheels! And with a good mounting system. I at first tried to save a buck and bought some really cheap wheels from Amazon. Thought the wheels were rated at 500Lbs. That must have been a one time use rating! I then found a deal on Amazon for "Locking, Two inch dia., Polypropylene wheels with metal frames", Rated for 1000 Lbs. and they worked great. "STAY away from any plastic wheels regardless of the ratings!" The catch is the mounting system for the wheels. Most either have four holes you can place screws into OR a single steel 'Round", post with a metal "O-ring" to lock it in place. The latter you can order a larger plate that will attach to the bottom of the bench that the post slides up into. These worked for me. The one's with the four screws? Even with longer screws than recommended, -"4 x #8, 3-1/2" inch long, metal deck screws" they failed repeatedly. The bench weighs allot by itself and the four screws literally tore though the bottom of the bench! The wheels with a 3/8" inch metal center post worked with the mounting plates I made from heavy steel angle, "L-Brackets from the hardware store", with the 3/8" inch hole that I drilled in them for the post. With four 1" screws into the bottom but also two into the side. So that they were held both vertically and horizontally. Good luck!
Question:	Are the shelf supports included with this kit the same size as the 90124 Shelf Link units ( which accept 4- 2x4 in width) sold separately? From the pictures it looks like the ones with this bench kit are using 3 - 2x4, or one narrower
Answer:	I ordered the bench kit (90164) and the shelf link kit (90124). I did not use the shelf kit supplied with the bench kit on the bench itself. I combined them with the shelf link kit to make more shelves. They are exactly the same parts. I hope this helps.
Question:	Can someone give me a general estimated idea of the cost to assemble this assuming a table top size of around 5'x2' or
Answer:	I used sanded 3/4” sheets of plywood with a double layer on top plus all the 2x4’s and upgraded hardware. I spent an additional $450 to build mine.

Question:	Another question: how high does the plastic extend above the leg? I need the benchtop to extend past the frame so I can clamp vises on the edge
Answer:	You can use a firing strip to bring top of leg even with the top of the leg, or you can use a 2x6 for top shelf which will extend the top above the bench leg, (you could use 2x8, 2x10 and etc. to give yourself additional height)

Answer:	I am 275 and have stood on top to get things and to put things up that weigh a lot. Mine is sturdy as a rock and can hole much more than just me......
Question:	Could I put a second (or third) shelf at any height, or are there fixed heights for shelves? If they're fixed, how many are there
Answer:	The shelves are at fixed heights. You could leave out the middle or bottom shelf, and you may be able to get away with leaving out both, but I think you kinda need to put in at least 2 shelves, to maintain the stability of the legs. I should think it possible, with some careful drilling to place holes at other heights. The bottom of the bottommost shelf is @ 3-3/8" in off the ground and the top of it @ 7-1/4" above the ground. The top of the middle shelf looks like it would be @ 21-1/4" off the ground.
Question:	Is it easy to add casters to the legs
Answer:	At the bottom of each of the 4 legs is a triangular piece of plastic (the same plastic that the rest of legs is made of) measuring about 3 inches by 3 inches by 4 and 1/2 inches. The triangle is about 1/4 of an inch thick and does not have any pre-drilled holes in it. If you can get casters with a triangular plate small enough to fit onto the bottom of the plastic triangle, you should be able to drill matching holes into the bottom of the plastic triangle, then insert screws through the holes in the caster plate, and screw the the screws into the plastic triangle. I probably would cut wooden triangles out of 2-by lumber and screw the screws through the plastic into the wood, just because 1/4" of plastic might not hold the screws securely enough, or be very durable under load. Remember that adding casters will increase the height of the work surface from the floor. I'm a short guy, and the work surface is already a little higher than I would like; retractable wheels, although more expensive, probably would be a better choice for me.

Answer:	Maybe because the other is a bestseller, so they can discount it and it might also have to do with the sellers themselves. There is no difference in the table pieces, and the one with shelves was more expensive back when I purchased it. Go get the one with shelves - it’s a great price. As a side note, these kits do allow you a lot of flexibility for a garage workbench. I do recommend.

Answer:	In theory you could make it any length or width using 2"x4" lumber. . Realistically I would say 4' to 8' in length and any depth you want. It was easy to do and I love my bench which is 6' by 2'.

Answer:	I cant verify personally but the same question was answered elsewhere: 3/8 inch.

Answer:	The metal frame runs from the front to back of the table on both ends where the legs are and is about 2 inches inside from the edge , if you are cutting in the middle there is no frame work to obstruct you.

Question:	Is this bench stable enough to use with a reloading press? Is it stable and sturdy or can you shake it around
Answer:	This will absolutely hold a reloading setup. My Buddy has a 1050 press with a case and bullet feeder installed. He also has his roll sizer installed on this bench. I am getting this to install my 750 dillon on.
Question:	What is the height to the underside of the drawers? I want to slide a tool box below the bench
Answer:	I raised my bench about 3/8" (using the adjustable feet), which brings the bottom of the drawers to 30.5" above the floor. (This puts the top of the wood table 37.5" above the floor) Hope this helps you!
Question:	Has anybody drilled this thing to install a vise
Answer:	I have not installed a vise, but I would not have any hesitation as long as the vise was being used for drilling, planing, etc. I would not use it for high torque uses such as bending strap steel, etc.
Question:	What is the dimension of the bench after installation
Answer:	48" long. 24" depth from wall. 31" from floor to underside of drawers. 37.5" from floor to top surface of bench. Back panel extends 28" up from bench top for total height of 66". This is a great workbench, well built, perfect for small space. Helps to have electric outlet behind it or nearby. Very highly recommended.

Answer:	Nope. Comes assembled.
Question:	What size are the drill bit/burr organization holes
Answer:	Holes are small, perhaps 2 mm and definitely not standard. In order for it to take dremel bits they will have to be drilled using the existing hole as a guidehole. I did have a crack on the back of the shelf which I splinted. Decided that it was more of a cosmetic issue. ndh

Answer:	It is just glued together, this is thin wood would be hard to use fastners
Question:	Is this decently made or is it like that cheap, thin pressed wood
Answer:	Not pressed wood, but very cheaply made out of a light weight wood. I had to totally re-glue it. You can do better elsewhere.

Answer:	It has adjustable legs. Height can vary about 2-4 inches. Mine is at 36 inches from floor to work surface. I think it could go as low as 33 inches or high as 37.

Question:	How wide does the vise open
Answer:	The guide rods are shorter than the jack screw, do the effective opening is only about 7.5 inches. The jacks crew falls out of the nut at 8”.
Question:	what are the four wooden pegs for
Answer:	Leave one wooden peg where it is at and remove the rest. Place a longer board vertical on the peg. The vise is on the wrong side but if it was above the pegs you would then close the vise on the vertical board that is resting on the peg. This way you can work on the end of the board. Again vise is on the wrong side for this (or the pegs are on the wrong side) one way or the other they need to be on the same side.

Question:	Can i mount a mitre saw on this
Answer:	I would not. The plywood top is only 3/4 " thick and 13" usable width. Mitre saws are heavy and this table is pretty light so it would tip. I have my mitre saw bolted on 2 2"X8"X48" across sawhorses.

Answer:	while it is a great bench and beautiful enough for my studio i would not think it would support 700 pounds of water. the top is not that wide and the metal frame only runs the length on the back side of the bench- i am setting up an encaustic studio and had to by 2 benches to put together to get the width to hold the equipment i have.

Answer:	It is 1" of Solid 100% Acacia wood. No laminate, presswood or other substrate.

Answer:	Distance inner between the legs on the width is 13 inches. Outer distance is 17 inches making the leg dimensions 2 inches each. For the length the inner is 42 and outer 46. I placed shelf on the cross piece notching for the legs that gave me 17 X 46 inches of space.
