There are 2 warnings for battery power, but instructions say to replace batteries yearly even without seeing warning. Answer:	I am 6'2" and 285, and have used it in the table config. it held me fine, the plates will slide if you drag your feet, tools etc. But, pretty rock solid, a little flex but given the span i thought it amazingly strong, the feet extending out for a wider base really helped stabilize. Honestly, I don't think these ladders would be usable with out them.

Question:	When the 8.5’ ladder is fully extended, how many feet is the last top run from the ground that can safely be used or stood on
Answer:	I have had problems extending and retracting my ladder. I have had to have two people pull the ladder to the full length, then I have to force the rungs on the bottom half together. The bottom collapsible rung bottoms out half way down and will not close at all. I've had this ladder about a year and have had nothing but trouble sorry to say.

Answer:	I've used it several times extended only the sections I needed to get the work done, so yes you can do it safely. I do recommend that you inspect ALL the locks carefully to make sure that they in a FULLY LOCKED POSITION. I've had some issues with them not completely locking, and the ones that don't will slide down, so make absolutely sure they are locked.
Question:	On the 8.5 ladder what’s the highest standing point
Answer:	There is the metal on metal sound when extending and collapsing. The locks make a distinct click sound when they lock into place while extending. And if you let the ladder slam while collapsing, even with the rubber stoppers it makes a good noise. Climbing seems to be quiet on mine compared to tradition aluminum extension ladders. I’m sure each ladder is different on the exact “creaks and groans” made. Also, there is Velcro that holds it when it’s collapsed. So, that could be considered loud.

Answer:	My husband has had the same problem. He has had to use WD-40 and let it sit. Then he used a wrench to close it. It wasn't easy for him either. We will see if this makes it easier as time goes by.
Question:	what is the maximum height of the ladder when it is in the A frame position
Answer:	Interesting idea. You could hold the top rung and let it extend to the ground as long as there is a level area below the window and you could get the legs at least a couple feet away from the wall. It would certainly be more stable and easier to climb down than a traditional escape ladder. Not a perfect solution, but an emergency is an emergency.
