Question:	Is this for 1 or does it come as a set ready to hang items
Answer:	It comes as a pair, ready to hang items. Works great, just be sure to hit a joist when you anchor each one.
Question:	Can you use inside a enclosed Trailer
Answer:	I don’t see why you couldn’t use it in an enclosed trailer as long as you can anchor it properly to the ceiling. The included hardware are wood lag bolts designed to be used on typical wood ceiling joists, but you could swap that hardware for nuts and bolts if anchoring all the way metal and use a silicone sealer on the exposed hardware. You would want to be sure your trailer ceiling support struts are capable of supporting the combined weight of the hangers and ladders. Not sure a typical trailer would be designed for that since trailers tend to be designed as light as possible for towing purposes.
Question:	How wide of a ladder can you put on the hangar
Answer:	Each arm is 25 inches in length so will accommodate a ladder 25 inches in width. Most ladders have a rung width of 16 inches so should store vast majority of ladders. I have a 16 ft extendable ladder and a Werner telescoping 18 ft multi adjustable ladder stored with plenty of room.
Question:	Can I hang 2 bicycles off of one side and a ladder on the other side
Answer:	The specs state that the unit can hold 150#s, 75#s per side. I wouldn’t exceed 37.5#s per rung on one side for each bike. Or possibly hang the bikes by the wheels across both rungs.

Answer:	AA batteries are required to operate the thermostat. The 'C' wire can be connected but the thermostat will not function without the batteries.

Answer:	The AA batteries are required. The thermostat cannot use a 'C' wire for power. There are 2 warnings for battery power, but instructions say to replace batteries yearly even without seeing warning. If changed quickly, you don't lose anything, but they say you don't lose programming-only date and time if slow like me!

Question:	Would using the racor psm-1r pro stor multi-use storage bracket mak the unit more sturdy/ i"m planning on using it for a 26' fiberglass ext. ladder
Answer:	I don't think the PSM-1R is compatible with the LDL-1B as the PSM-1R appears to be designed to hang a ladder on the wall while the LDL-1B requires a ceiling mount. The "J" shaped bracket on the LDL-1B is deep enough to grab the top rung of an extension ladder and afford the distance for the pivot from vertical to horizontal. I don't see how you could used the PSM-1R. That all said, I have a 22' Aluminum extension ladder on mine and there are no issues with "sturdiness", I would imagine your 26' fiberglass ladder weighs quite a bit less.
Question:	Attic access is in my garage ceiling. Is the stationary part strong enough to hold the weight of a person if used to access the attic as a ladder
Answer:	I had the same thought. Others have properly answered that the sheet-metal "hook" will not safely hold the weight of one person (plus any payload) climbing the ladder. I would add that if you _design_ a hook that does, you're still putting all of your supporting force on the top rung, likely at a steep angle "out" of the side material. You'd be much better off designing an attic entry where the ladder is slid up to some sort of rail support.
Question:	Does this work with a flat-step step ladder? (i.e. the steps on on the ladder are wide and flat
Answer:	The width of your ladder is not the determining factor but the depth of your top step or top member is. As long as the depth is less than 10 inches it should work. The 10 inches is the dimension between your ceiling or what ever you are mounting the hanger to and the lip of the hanger that you will hang your ladder on initially before pulling it up.
Question:	When you pull the cord to raise the ladder, do you have to secure the cord to the wall to keep it taught or does it work like window blinds
Answer:	There is a locking feature in the lift mechanism, but it should be considered a temporary convenience, not a safe, permanent solution. If you bump a window shade the wrong way, it rolls up abruptly and makes a lot of noise. If you bump the ladder lift cord, something easy to do if it is just hanging there, you can have a heavy ladder crashing down on your head. Find a spot to install the cord bracket as directed, or some other way to get the cord out of the way and secure.

Answer:	That answer depends on a) where your joist are for attachment points, b) height of lift , c) length of rope and d) length of ladder . I would suggest a distance of at least 7' for the 26' ladder as the closed length is about 14' and (properly centered) this would leave about 3' on each end so nothing will slip even if you raise the ladder unevenly. I believe there is ample rope in the "pro" kit to accomplish this.
Question:	I have an 8 foot long x 33 inch wide table top I want to store. Are the straps long enough to handle that width
Answer:	The straps are definitely long anough for that.We used 2 sets to hang 16' step ladder (1 set for each end of ladder becauae of the weight).The base of the ladder is about 5' wide and the strap worked fine.

Answer:	Just measured for you, the 6.3” is outer. Inside you get 4-7/8,” maybe 5” depending what you’re hanging from it. I bought 2 to hang a lightweight aluminum extension ladder, and didn’t use them because the side rails of the ladder were too wide for the hooks.

Answer:	Should fit...on center means center to center. So 24" on center is 22½" in between.
Question:	Can this ladder be used for both residential and commercial
Answer:	Yes, but it's a tight fit. The wooden frame is 21 3/4" wide, so while it will fit in a 22" joist bay, there's little tolerance for adjustment. Your joists had better be parallel in both directions. Mine were a little out of whack in both directions, so I had to make tapered shims to compensate. One hint: check for squareness of the assembly by closing the stairs and seeing if the door cover (presumed to be a rectangle) lines up.
Question:	This version is currently about $20 cheaper than the 7' - 8'9"" model. Is there any reason this one can't be cut down shorter than the listed
Answer:	Rather than risking your safety and welfare on an old unit, buy a new one. The ladder wood dries out with heat and old age, the hardware gets bent and loose. Probably one spring broke so they removed the other. How does it stay closed with no springs? My hardware and spring arms were getting very loose and the steps would crunch when you stepped on them from being dry. Weigh the risk $86 and free shipping for a new unit. At least that's what it was when I bought mine. Every time I use it now I ask myself why didn't I do this 15 years ago

Answer:	I think it might work but your first step would be close to the floor. Might be better to find a model mad for 8'-10'. I used this one in my garage which has 10'-6" ceiling, it is an awesome ladder.

Answer:	I have this installed in my garage with an 11 ft ceiling.. It comes with a expandable pole to reach the loop to pull the door down. Once that is done, being 5ft 9 inches tall, I use a 3 step stool to stand on to fold out the ladder to the floor. I also use the step stool to stand on when folding it back up. I have had it installed for almost a year now and have always opened and closed it by myself.
