Question:	Where are these manufactured? there is contradictory statements within descriptions, one states china and another usa
Answer:	If you mean two people on one platform, then no - not enough room and no way to balance like that. If you mean two platforms - one on each side of the ladder, then yes, it works great that way -- BUT BE AWARE that the ladder is only rated to hold a certain amount of weight per side. The Little Giant Xtreme is rated for 300 lbs., which means it will hold 300 lbs. safely on each side (it will actually hold much more, but less safely, and if it does break/fail they are only liable to help you if you didn't exceed the max. rated weight). This is good to know for any ladder. Some are only rated 200 lbs. And this platform does work on other ladders (Werner MT for example).

Answer:	Even if the Little Giant might have changed in 30 years it should fit. These accessories are a universal fit to LG type rungs. I use it with a Harbor Freight knockoff with no problem.

Answer:	AA batteries are required to operate the thermostat. The 'C' wire can be connected but the thermostat will not function without the batteries.

Answer:	The AA batteries are required. The thermostat cannot use a 'C' wire for power. There are 2 warnings for battery power, but instructions say to replace batteries yearly even without seeing warning. If changed quickly, you don't lose anything, but they say you don't lose programming-only date and time if slow like me!

Answer:	I don’t think you can to a shorter ladder height without dropping it the full way. The ladder is released with two sliding buttons on the bottom rung. Once released the levels collapse. To readjust the ladder to a lower height it’s quite easy to collapse the ladder the raise to that new height.

Answer:	No, if you start extending the bottom rung first. It you extend the top rung first, then yes you will have to extend the entire latter before you use it. Read / follow the instructions provided. This is a great ladder.

Answer:	The web site is mistaken. The ladder extends to 15.5 ft...but would only get a person up safely to about 11 ft. Need good amount of lean onto the building and up a foot or so past the roofline. Don't go near the top rung to stand. I do enjoy the ladder and its compact feature when not in use. If you are over 200 lbs, you will need the most sturdy ladder they make. At 180, this does have a bit of bow when I am on it. Hope this helps. LTD

Answer:	Yeah, put the bar where it's supposed to go, up against those little plastic tabs, and pound it in to place with your palm (or hammer if need be). They'll break off allowing you to slot the feet into where they need to be to align the slots with the bolts. I'm not making this up. That's how crappy this product is. You literally have to snap off molding tabs in order to get the parts to line up. Worst. Ladder. Ever. But you'll find that out once you get past this step and on to trying to actually use the darn thing.

Answer:	John C. is correct. They are for the top, not the bottom feet. I have them on my Louisville Ladder and the width of those are 3.25" and they fit well. I tend to agree with N. Leonard in that I do not think they will expand to literally 3.5"

Answer:	nope.. if it were it might come down when you pull the door down... as said it attached to the floor of the attic which also saves space...you are given a bar with a plastic hook to pull it down.. works really well..

Answer:	I can only say that without modification, the spring mechanism will not allow vertical retraction. Mines served me well although a bit flimsy, is equally as light, compact and functional. I'm 185, I couldn't recommend it for anyone over 220.

Answer:	Yes, it should work provided that the other clearance requirements are met (it does require some space above and behind the attic opening where the ladder sits when it is stowed).The ladder is on the light weight side. I weigh @ 220 and I feel like I am about as heavy as could use it.
