Answer:	They seem to come one to a pack, and you may need different sizes for left and right, or at least both an A and B model of the same size for your car, although a few cars may have the same specs left and right. You need to look closer at what Bosch recommends for your car model, I suggest you go to the Bosch site to find out. I can testify from experience that the sweeping action and durability of these blades is outstanding.

Answer:	If the 2008 Honda Civic is a sedan, then the Bosch 26A Icon Wiper Blade should fit the left wiper slot. If Coupe, there is a different blade that fits, Bosch 28OE I believe.

Answer:	Here's how you can tell for sure. Go to the Bosch website (http://www.boschautoparts.com/) and enter your specific vehicle year, make, and model. It will then tell you specifically which Bosch wiper blades fit your vehicle. In my case (2011 Ram 1500 truck), I need the 22A for the left and the 22B for the right.

Answer:	2nd to Baird review. My 13 f150 use 22A for driver side and 22B for passenger due to greater curve on passenger side. However, my 17 sonata hybrid uses 26A on driver and 18A on passenger side due to different design. Both work great.

Answer:	Oiling the motor once or twice a year will extend the life of the motor. If the motor requires oiling, oil ports or openings will be located on both motor end plates. Use a SAE 20 non-detergent motor oil.

Answer:	I did one in a gable vent, it comes with nice instructions. I mounted it on a piece of plywood then mounted two 2x4s to the gable vent framing then mounted the plywood to the 2x4. It was easy, my 12 yr old son and I did it in 30 minutes. It was summer time in the attic so we wanted to do it fast. I bought a cheap extension and cut off one end and wired it to the leads then ran it to an outlet in the attic.
Question:	How long is the thermostat wiring. How far will it reach away from the fan
Answer:	Wiring on the fan thermostat is very short about 12" or so. I rewired it and moved the thermostat to a location about 25 feet away. This allows me to set the thermostat without having to crawl down the entire length of the attic.

If one fan can't not effectively take out the hot air on the other end of the house, it's recommended that you install another one. Louvers are not necessary unless you care about the look. Thanks.

Answer:	Normaly these motors have a temp overload built into the windings of the motor. I have not seen one that did not have it.

Answer:	Yes! I actually use an extension cord to the nearest outlet about six feet. Also added switches as there are two fans together so I can run one or both. Also use the thermostat controlled switches.

Answer:	I have installed several exhaust fans and they all work on the same principle, They blow the air outward drawing the air in through the soffet or other vents. The first question to answer is, are we talking about "blowing" in the same sense. Since this is a single phase AC motor, it doesn't matter how the wires are connected. If you want it to blow the air inward, Steve Jobes gave the right answer.

Answer:	I may not fully understand your situation, but this fan is quite loud. You would not want it running in your office. Put it on the inside of the louvered gable back end which I take to be some distance from your office.

Answer:	Even if you were to reverse to supply, without a major rework, the louvers would be sucked closed instead of being blown open.

Answer:	The ILG8SFSC speed controller does NOT work with this fan. I installed the ILG8SFSC speed controller and after 20 minutes it lost the ability to vary the fan speed. I am now installing a VFD to control the fan speed. Iliving customer support never answered my requests for help on the matter.
Question:	I have this fan Installed in our shop. It is repeatedly overheating and will not run until it cools down. Is there a common culprit or way to fix it

Answer:	Honestly I don’t know the answer but I have it in a wall that separates two room and when it’s on and I stand in the doorway I can feel a breeze moving. I keep it set in medium speed and am more than happy with noise and cfms. Installing had a few thing you might want to know about. See my earlier post.

Answer:	The model number CX1600 includes (1) attic ventilator, (1) thermostat, mounting brackets and hardware package. It will come as pictured.
Question:	Is your fan still working after 3 or 4 years or longer
Answer:	Mine is just finishing its 4th summer season. It runs 12 hours per day, nearly every day, for about 100 days each summer. The fan is mounted in an attic window, pushing out hot air, after another fan at the far end of my attic is pulling in cool air from under shade trees. I have had no problems with my CX1600 fan, and see no signs it won't be working great for many years to come. (It's on an electrical timer, so it turns on around noon and off around midnight, except on the few summer days cool enough for it's thermostat to keep the fan from running).Another commenter mentioned not seeing how to oil this fan, and that may be the problem some people are having. Just above the shaft, on each end of the motor, is a notch in the metal for adding oil. I use 5W40 automotive oil in a small oil dripper, and add about 6 drops of oil into each notch at the beginning and middle of each summer. If you only have access to one side of the fan, it's pretty easy to feel for the oiling notch with one hand, and then use your finger on the oiling notch to guide in the oil dripper with your other hand (obviously with the power off, since you're reaching between the blades). One other issue several commenters mentioned was vibration noise. There are 4 L-shaped brackets which attach to the circular housing around the fan, and then to your home. To ensure I didn't have any vibration issues, I added rubber washers on each bolt between the circular housing and the L-shaped bracket, and again on each screw between the L-shaped bracket and the wood of my home. My fan may not have been going to have any vibration anyway, but this way I didn't have to go back and correct for vibration later.One last idea to share. To keep out birds and insects, while not restricting airflow, I added an oversized piece of flexible bug screen, attached only at the top outside of the window, and weighted at the bottom. I added a piece of wood dowel across the bottom, crudely sewn in, so it won't quite hit either side or the bottom window sill. When the fan isn't running, the weight of the dowel holds the bug screen down, so the window is 99.99% sealed. When the fan is running, the force of the air blows the bug screen straight out, so it isn't impeding the air flow from the fan. That force of air flowing out is also more than enough to keep any birds or bugs from flying in. There may be a better system for keeping out bugs while not restricting air flow when the fan is running, but I haven't found it yet.
Question:	how can I test it
Answer:	I just stripped the ends of the wires, folded the ends so they would hold in the socket better and inserted them into an electrical cord and then used the thermostat to turn it on and off.When I tested it I found it was quite out of balance and not mounted evenly in the motor clamp.I HATE poor quality control and the lazy shmucks who won't produce "high" quality as minimum practice.I adjusted the clamp and had another fan to scavenge so I tried swapping fans but ended up using the new fan. I balanced the new fan until it did not wiggle/shake at all.I needed to install this fan right away for a customer so I balanced it, otherwise I would have returned it. If everyone buys an item and no one complains then the manufacturer has no reason to improve their quality.

Answer:	AFG SMT ES 3.0 has an electronically commutated motor (very energy efficient) and the unit comes with Bluetooth capabilities. The AFG PRO 3.0 has a permanent split capacitor motor (still energy efficient) and is operated via an external thermostat.

Answer:	the fan blade itself is about 3/4 " less than the shroud, the shroud according to the spec sheet, that you can click on at the info page, says its 17 in

Answer:	It is and I would say about 20 feet long. It reached from the vent across a portion of the attic and down through an air vent grid in the furnace closet to plug.

Answer:	I'm disappointed with the noise I've experienced, although it may be unique to my install. I didn't use an "attic fan" installer but rather an electrician who was reasonably priced and trustworthy. Firstly I had him back to add 1/2" thick foam to quiet it down. That helped but I still get a humming sound at various frequencies/speeds. This might be rectified by yet another fix that I found (but haven't performed) on the quiet cool's website....https**quietcoolsystems.com/support/fix-vibration-caused-afg-smt-3-0/ I'm also disappointed that the humidity sensor has it running many evenings and night's until sunrise in inland southern California. And all day and night when it rains... Perhaps there something wrong with mine but this has been my experience...we had the same electrician add a switch up high on our wall so we can kill the fan when it rains. Great concept and potential energy savings but my own experience has been disappointing.

Answer:	The instructions mention to place this a certain distance from the ridge vents, so it acknowledges them and seems to indicate it is compatible

Question:	Does this unit run only when there is sunlight striking it or is there a storage battery for the evening. Here in Phoenix an attic is hot after dark
Answer:	It's designed to run ONLY while the sun is charging it. However, you can buy a 110V hybrid adapter (about $80), which easily connects to the fan. It works at night, as long as the attic is 80 degrees (or more), and runs on your home's electricity. Then, when the sun returns, it automatically converts back to solar power. I bought this unit, and had it installed simultaneously, because my attic also stays hot long into the night. Nice, right? :)
