Answer:	Actually, I purchased this exhaust fan to replace one that was about 25 or 30 years old. You should find that the canister that is currently in your ceiling does not have to be removed. Once I removed the guts of the old fan I was able to put the new fan with the heating element and lights into the housing that was still in the ceiling. It has been working perfectly since I installed it.

Answer:	It will not swap out easily. The 741SN has a housing dimension of 8.25" x 8" x 5.75". The 9093WH has a much larger housing. It is 13.25" diameter x 7.5" height. You would need to enlarge the hole in the ceiling as well as needing more clearance in the attic.

Answer:	They are the same fan. You are correct, the QTXEN110H is NuTone branded , and the QTXE110S is Broan branded.
Question:	Can this be installed on cathedral ceiling
Answer:	I used this model to replace a smaller Broan that was installed this way. It is about half way up the angled ceiling and near the shower. We used an insulated vent. The hardest part was getting the 6" vent through the narrow space along the roof line (the old fan had a 4" vent). Works great. We love the humidity sensor and automatic delayed shutoff for those times our kids forget to turn it on before they shower.

Answer:	The 8661 is an oldie but a 'goodie'! The 8664RP is the suggested replacement. Please note, the 8661 had a round housing. The 8664RP is square. The old unit is not compatible with anything in the line today. It must be completely removed and replaced. Answer:	The outer ring is plastic. I’m sure you can paint it. That said, it’s very noisy, and not as effective as I had hoped. In hindsight, I’d choose another.
Question:	how do you get to the bulb to replace it
Answer:	Grab 2 sides & pull down gently. It'll come down a few inches and you'll be able to see inside, including the bulb. There are 2 spring loaded clips located across from each other. Squeeze each clip together & they'll pull down thru the small opening of the unit. Suggest you do one side first, then the other so you don't drop it. Once you get the hang of it, it's a fairly easy process.

Answer:	It's not very loud, yes you could have a conversation near it. Had to do a small adjustment to free the fan, due to repacking from a previous customer.

Answer:	Indefinitely, I am not sure, but it does run here in 100 degree+ temps for most of the 24 hour day and has done so for about 4 years. If the temps are not too high it might be like one of those machines that if it runs all the time it will go until the bearings go out after a bunch of years.
Question:	does this fan have a continuous duty motor
Answer:	I can only comment on the Broan 509 and the specs on their site spec sheet say "Continuous Operation: No". https://www.broan.com/Bath-Vent-Fan/Utility-Fans/Through-Wall-Fans/509 Also, the speed controller cannot be used with Impedance protected fans, and yet Broan suggest it for the install.
Question:	Is the 10" thickness the minimum, or can it be trimmed down
Answer:	When installed as directed--with all components unaltered--the minimum thickness is 9 inches. However, as other have indicated, you can reduce this further by trimming the metal components of the duct. In fact, if you managed to glue/seal the fan housing directly to the plastic vent cap, the whole assembly requires only 5 inches. So there are a lot of options to put this unit in a thinner wall. If you trim the duct work, just be sure you have means to tape/seal everything once it is in the wall. On the final step, the length of the flexible duct is what enables you to tape/seal all the connections on the exterior side before compressing everything back into the wall.

Answer:	Yes it tilts down at its lowest tilt, but only very slightly and not enough for my needs. I put mine on top of a kitchen cabinet across the room from the oven and the down tilt was not pointing down enough to reach the oven area. Would have been helpful if the manufacturer had made more of a downward tilt and less of a straight up tilt, which actually starts tilting downward on the back side before it oscillates back downward.

Answer:	The 8210 fan has a 9" diameter housing, but uses a 7 inch duct. The specially designed transition-type housing reduces the diameter of the housing opening to fit 7" round duct without the need for a reducer. If you already have 7" duct, you should not have any issues.

Question:	how difficult is the install without a preexisting fan
Answer:	There are two metal mounting brackets on the fan that mount to the structure with screws. A 3" flexible duct runs from the fan to a wall or roof cap. Two adjustable 3" metal screw clamps are required to hold the 3" flex duct to the fan & cap. An electrical circuit is required to power the fan & it requires an on-off switch. This requires a moderate amount of skill.

Question:	Can this fan go on the ceiling over a gas stove
Answer:	Broan-NuTone exhaust fans are U.L. tested and approved. The AE110 is ONLY approved for a bathroom installation. It is not suitable for a kitchen installation. We do offer range hoods and other exhaust units. Question:	How bright is the light
Answer:	Mine doesn't have a light, however if your does, it's as bright as the bulb you put into it.
Question:	Would 18 ft be to far to vent

Answer:	The housing size for the A110L is 9-1/4" x 10" x 5-3/4". That is the measurement for the box itself. It does not include the mounting flaps.

Question:	Can you easily change the light bulb
Answer:	The plastic cover can be removed in order to change the bulb. It does require a bit of a technique to get it on and off. Answer:	It needs to be wired through a wall switch to your 110-120V house current, just like a light. If you are replacing an existing fan, you should be able to easily disconnect the power feed from the old one, and plug it in to this unit. If this is a completely new installation, you probably want to have an electrician install it to insure that it is wired to code.
Question:	If I take a huge dump will this clear the air. Will this push the air in my attic
Answer:	This is duct free. It doesn’t push the air anywhere. It runs your stench over a charcoal filter. If your dump is more load than a charcoal filter can handle, than the answer will be no... lol
