Question:	how difficult is the install without a preexisting fan
Answer:	There are two metal mounting brackets on the fan that mount to the structure with screws. A 3" flexible duct runs from the fan to a wall or roof cap. Two adjustable 3" metal screw clamps are required to hold the 3" flex duct to the fan & cap. An electrical circuit is required to power the fan & it requires an on-off switch. This requires a moderate amount of skill.

Answer:	Yes. The unit I received included the 4" to 3" duct adapter.
Question:	Is the whole unit suppose to fit inside the 2x6 framing or does part of it sit inside the sheet rock section
Answer:	The Whisper Fit can be installed above or below the drywall. In new construction it is typically mounted to the bottom of the framing. In retro fit (after drywall is in place) it can be mounted so the flange is below the drywall. It is a snug fit for new construction in a 2x6 cavity but it fits. If more depth is desired 3/4" strapping could be added to the bottom of framing.
Question:	Which basic switches (without humidity, timer, motion settings) allow me just to choose among 80cfm, 110cfm, and on/off
Answer:	As Ric mentioned, the 80 / 110 switch is not meant to be switched as a regular option. Despite that, I did as James mentioned, and wired it into a normal wall switch anyway. I placed it right next to the power switch. Works fine.

Answer:	Broan-NuTone exhaust fans are U.L. tested and approved. The AE110 is ONLY approved for a bathroom installation. It is not suitable for a kitchen installation. Question:	I’m wanting to replace the 45 year old version of this one. Are the dimensions and wiring still the same
Answer:	Actually, I purchased this exhaust fan to replace one that was about 25 or 30 years old. You should find that the canister that is currently in your ceiling does not have to be removed. Once I removed the guts of the old fan I was able to put the new fan with the heating element and lights into the housing that was still in the ceiling. It has been working perfectly since I installed it.
Question:	Can you have the heat and the fan on at the same time
Answer:	Yes but the fan blows down when you have the heat on then you put the fan on which blows out. What a waste.
Question:	I presently have a broan 741sn in my bath. wife wants heat. are there any problems in swapping in a nutone 9093wh? will it swap out easily
Answer:	It will not swap out easily. The 741SN has a housing dimension of 8.25" x 8" x 5.75". The 9093WH has a much larger housing. It is 13.25" diameter x 7.5" height. You would need to enlarge the hole in the ceiling as well as needing more clearance in the attic.

Question:	Does this connect to a 4" or a 6" duct
Answer:	I think it is either 3" or 4". I would get the 70 CFM if room larger than 8' x 5'.
Question:	I am trying to replace the burned out light bulb but I can't get the light cover off
Answer:	There is 2 tabs on the lens . Take a small screw driver and push in on 1 tab it should release the light cover. The tab is about 1 inch wide. They are straight across from each other.
Question:	how do you remove motor and fan
Answer:	I had to climb through attic crawl space acces in adjoining bedroom and squeeze, wriggle my way til I was able to reach where fan was mounted(which wasn't easy, for I am a big guy). It was mounted on joists in bathroom ceiling. Make sure you bring all the tools you're gonna need because backing up was truly hard( I forgot some tools the first time up there) You have to remove the exhaust hose from unit first, then electrical connections. Removing the mounting wood screws was the hardest part cause the initial installers used 3 inch screws which were far too long for such an installation. I replaced them with 1 inch screws. Replacing the fan in reverse order. Screw in, make electrical connections then exaust hose. All in all it was way harder then I expected but was very satisfied with outcome and money I saved doing it myself.
Question:	description says 100w light with 7w nightlight. The 679 does not have a night light. Does the 678 have a built in nightlight? Picture would help
Answer:	No it does not. I bought this because it is listed in the amazon description as having one. I went to install it and found the amazon description was wrong. I did not find their error until I went to install it and had to return it two months later. They allowed the return but despite the error being on their part, they only issued a partial refund. It's been months since they were told and they still have the 7W nightlight feature listed.

Answer:	The AR110LKVV is designed to have the light and fan on separate switches so that the VitalVio UV light can operate without having to have the fan run constantly. If you do not have two switches wired to the fan, the light and fan will always operate together, and as mentioned, the fan will always run if you wish to utilize the Vital Vio UV light.

Answer:	Yes. This unit can be connected to an electronic variable speed control, a timer switch, or an on/off switch.
Question:	I have a Nautilus mdl N671 will mdl n688 install in same housing
Answer:	I ordered the 671 to replace an old Nautilus N688-H. The motor fit nicely into the existing housing. The tabs even fit in the housing slots. Plug and discharge orientations were identical to the old housing. Based on this single experience. I would assume a 688 fan would fit in a 671 housing - - - but I cannot verify.
Question:	Can u replace a nautilus n721 with this
Answer:	Look at the size of the base on the Braun...then look at the opening in the ceiling...if it will fit in that part is OK. Next look at the size of the plastic grill cover on the Braun. If it will cover the hole in the ceiling (the sheetrock hole) then that is OK too.You can find the sizes in the specs of the Braun on Amazon.Be aware that replacing these ceiling fans is something of a project...not for a first time do it yourselfer...on the other hand if you are handy and have a tool or two you can do it.

Answer:	I have it on the higher setting and you can hear it a little bit. It was nearly twice the flow rate as my old fan and much much quieter. I can only hear it if I focus on hearing it.

Answer:	The HD80L fan light has several feature that enhance the performance of this model. THe 678 only offers 50 CFM with a plug-in, permanently lubricated motor. THe HD80L offers a little more power at 80 CFM and is designed for continuous operation. It is a little louder than the 678, but considered heavy duty since the motor can be continuous.

Answer:	This unit is an 80 CFM exhaust fan. It requires a 4" duct. It does not come with a 4" to 3" adapter. We would recommend a different model if you have a 3" duct. Please review models LPN80 and/or EZ80N. Both of these models have a reducer. We would suggest that you have rigid duct, and we would recommend that you have very short duct run. Air movement, Cubic Feet Per Minute (CFM)

Strongly recommend to remove the duct part first, be sure to install the duct in the position so the housing will line up correctly. After using the screws to secure the duct connector to the edge of the hole,so that it will line up with the exhaust on the fan housing.

Question:	Just installed. does anyone experience an 8 second delay before the fan starts and slow getting up to speed? not quiet. should i exchange
Answer:	It’s probably your switch, rather than the fan. No delay on mine. Yes, they are not as quiet as advertised. It’s not loud, but way above a “whisper.” The smaller version may be much quieter, but wasn’t large enough for my needs.
Question:	What does the "DC" mean
Answer:	DC stands for direct current. That's what makes the fan so quiet. One thing to note, since the fan is DC, there is a ten second delay before the fan actually come on. It works great though.
Question:	My install will be a retrofit. Can this be installed with no attic access
Answer:	Per Panasonic, if you already have a fan installed and a switch in the wall to turn that fan on and off, this will help with the install. This model does have the Flex-Z-Fast bracket to assist with install without accessing the attic. Depending on the size of the unit you are removing, you may need to cut a larger hole in the ceiling. The base of the fan is 10-1/4“ x 10-1/4”. Keep in mind, this model takes 6” duct, so depending what size duct the previous fan had, you may need to install 6” ducting to use this fan. The included installation manual will help provide further instructions for retrofit installations.
Question:	Can this fan be used for replacement vs new construction
Answer:	I purchased this fan to replace an existing fan and I found the installation could have been a simple retrofit, but this model requires 6” ducting for proper operations. I made this ducting a part of my replacement as the previous fan was not properly installed. I will be purchasing a few more of these fans to install along with the appropriate duct and wall cap products. The fan includes an easy-to-install “Flex-z” bracket that makes this potentially a simple retrofit. The hole for the box is specked to be 10.5” square for “new” construction or 10 7/8” for replacement. I cut the hole for 10 7/8” and feel I could have made it the 10.5 “ size and still have made this retrofit work.

Answer:	The FG800SPKS can be used to upgrad and exhaust fan to a light/fan/speaker. if your current fixture is only and exhaust fan, and you only have a single function switch on the wall, then the fan and light and speaker will have to work together. IF you are upgrading a fan and light unit and you have a two function wall switch, then the fan will operate on one and the light and speaker will operate on the other. You may consider contacting our Technical Support Department before you make the purchase just to be sure this will meet your needs. It's a really nice upgrade! Answer:	Not sure. Opening in ceiling is cut to 10 7/8 X 10 7/8". Fan was bigger than my old Nutone and also taller. Installer had to move it over to avoid electrical wires which were above the old fan. It does work really well.
