Answer:	I have a 5 year old Lux Thermostat. When we bought a new Rheem this past summer, the technician pulled the batteries out of it saying they were not needed. End result, is every time we have a power outage, the thermostat looses it's programming. it losses it when we change back and forth from heat to cool also. I'd be wary of any advice about removing batteries unless you're sure that it does not affect the thermostat memory. i say this as the A/C is on and it's program is set on 72 degrees. i had it set on 75 and have not attempted to reprogram it since that would be just a temporary fix it resets down to 72 often not sure why.

Answer:	I just went to Best Buy to play with the RTH9585WF and see what is the difference in the settings. Color options do seem to be slightly different. Both have 7 day programing (four settings per day) plus vacation etc. The literature says the 9585 automatically switches between cool/heat but in 9585 system (MODE) there is only "heat", "cool" and "off". So my guess is the automatic is not a setting you pick. 9560 offers the forth option of automatic and will show heat and cool adjustments on the home page setting on the panel. Other than that I do not see any difference. My guess is the 9585 has a newer chip set but honestly I have no idea. I called Honeywell and the tech could not even tell me the difference other than it's the second generation model. Both work with Alexa and other smart devices and smart hubs. I'm still thinking of returning the 9580 for the 9585 but if I have to switch between heat and cold that is a deal breaker and I kind of like seeing the date when I walk buy. My guess is in a few years Honeywell will over a unit to compete with the Ecobee with something like Alexa built into it. Frankly, I'd purchase the Ecobeen 4 but my wife of 35 years thought the Ecobeen being black and kind of large and the white mounting plate was ugly and after 35 years of marriage I felt like this decision was not worth the fight.

Answer:	If it is not connected to internet, remote access is nit possible. You cannot access it by your mobile device but thermostat will still works as it is. It has its own power and if you set it before the internet connection is lost, it will still works with all your settings and preferences.

Answer:	Yes but the difference between heating and cooling will auto set with a minimum 5 degree difference. 5 degrees is quite a bit so I really don't use it much. You can't just set it to 70 and have it hold that temp and if I had to guess, it's due to the fact that heating and cooling use the same ducts and constantly switching from hot to cold will cause condensation and really isn't efficient at all. Really, the only time you'd use this feature is during fall and spring when the temperature outside can vary. Generally, mine is either set to heat or cool depending on the season. That being said, if you're ok with a 5 degree swing either way then it works well :-).

Answer:	I have a split system were the condensor is outside and the heater and blower motor are in the attic a typical system. I had to get 24 volts from the attic system to power up the thermostat this is what you need to do if you don't have a c wire. this was easy.

Answer:	It doesn't. What it does is tells you which room temperatures to prioritize for your settings. For example, for my sleep settings I have set my thermostat to prioritize the Master Bedroom sensor. So it will heat/cool based on that sensor, instead of the thermostat sensor which is sitting in the hall and isn't really related to my sleeping comfort at all. You can also prioritize multiple locations. So if I wanted to, I could tie the sensors for all 3 bedrooms to my sleep settings and it would average out the sensor readings for all 3 bedrooms.

When the screen changes, press "next" until you reach option 12. Setting "0" enables "heat/cool/off" in the mode screen, while setting"1" enables "heat/cool/auto/off." Setting "3" is "auto/off" only. When you press "done," your mode screen will show the option you selected. FYI: In "auto" mode, the "heat" temperature at any time must always be at least 3 degrees less than the "cool" temperature.

Answer:	Well that is what a thermostat does, so I'd say yes. You typically pick a low temp and high temp and the thermostat keeps it between those temperatures. As a side note, I replaced this unit with a Nest Thermostat.
Question:	Is this compatible with a central air and heating system
Answer:	That will be good. Without one the ST55 won't receive 24VAC and will only run on battery power. Battery isn't enough to keep the Wifi radio powered and will shut down after about 2 hours if there is no call for heat within that time. I use this in my garage and only heat it before I go out to it and spend any time. It spends days without calling for heat and the only way I could keep the Wifi on was to wire in a common wire.

Answer:	Updated Answer: THANK YOU to Albert who pointed out below that the fan can be controlled through SmartThings! It was annoying to have to set up another app and service to do this, but it is a workaround to get around Sensi's frustrating limitation. SmartThings allows you to set the fan to Auto, On, or Circulate (but not the percentage of time to circulate) and automate that on any schedule you want. Unfortunately, Alexa and Google still don't allow you to control the fan at all, even though Sensi's API apparently allows it. Original Answer from June 6, 2020: No, you can't do a schedule like if you want it to run all the time during the night. Also, you can't control the fan from Alexa to schedule it that way. Very annoying and unreasonable that they wouldn't add that option since you can turn it on manually from the app. They do have the auto-circulate feature, but that's not the same.

Answer:	It worked well with my gutters, so I think it might. However, mold and mildew can usually be removed with bleach, which is much cheaper. I would try that first and if it doesn't work, use the Gutter Edge or Krud Kutter, which is usually available locally, is cheaper, and works almost as well.

Answer:	No but it should work. Be careful though, it will take off some paint if you don't wipe it off quickly

Answer:	2nd stories are hard. You could try an extension pole and a couple shammies. One saturated with the product, and a dry one to wipe it off.
