Question:	If I get 2 nests: one for upstairs and one for downstairs, will it know to automatically shut off the upstairs unit when everyone is downstairs
Answer:	Sort of. The thing has a motion sensor in it so when you are away for a bit (not sure how long) it goes to the "auto away" setting and lets the temperature rise to the max that you allow under that setting. As soon as you go back upstairs you tap the thing and it kicks in. Before you install two of these I HIGHLY recommend having someone out to inspect you system and ensure you have enough 24V power to drive both units as they draw a fair bit of power. I've spend nearly $500 extra dollars on service calls and transformers to get both of my Nests to function properly.
Question:	d o i have to purchase anything extra for nest to work on smart phone
Answer:	No, you do not need to purchase anything extra to have Nest work on a smartphone. Just setup an account on Nest.com and then download the Nest app to your smartphone.
Question:	Can this thermostat be locked? I have problems with my mom with alzheimers who constantly readjusts the thermostat - can it be reset and "locked
Answer:	Yes, but you must set a range of temps. You can't simply lock it at one temp. You'll have to lock it between say 70-75 or 72-77. Worthless in a business environment because people can change it even when locked with a passcode

Answer:	They don't seem to. I have 2 dogs and a cat.

Answer:	Hi there, this unit REQUIRES an internet connection, based on a WiFi (wireless) connection. Once the device establishes an internet connection to the Honeywell cloud (which is cool!) you can effectively control the thermoostat from anywhere you have an internet connection.... even your smartphone. Enjoy!
Question:	Is it smart enough to decide whether to run the heater or cooler to keep the temperature fixed
Answer:	The WiFi setup requires you to create an account on mytotalconnectcomfort.com. It’s not that hard. The biggest problem with this thermostat is the unreliable remote connectivity ever since Honeywell spun off their thermostat division 6 months ago. Now it’s frequent periods of time where the thermostat will not respond to remote commands. It’s maddening
Question:	What if i have a C wire
Answer:	When you put it on circulate, the fan comes on for about 10 minutes every 20 minutes or so. The owners manual says it runs about 35% of the time. I used this feature this Fall with the system off (no heat or a/c) just to circulate the air through my Filtrete filters.
Question:	Can you create a fan schedule? I’d like the fan to always run from 10pm until 6am
