Answer:	I used liquid nails adhesive to install mine on a concrete stair. Make sure you clean the area well, let dry, scrape concrete with a steel brush (wear dust mask and eye protection) vacuum up dust, then glue down on a day over 60 degrees F when rain is not expected. Use weights to apply pressure for 24 hours

Question:	Do the stair treads get hot in the sun & too hot for bare feet, and dog paws
Answer:	Ours have been down all summer and they've been fine. 10 grandkids and no one yet has burned their feet. They do get hot but only as hot as the painted wood tread that they're screwed to. The finish is holding up really well also. Just waiting to see how it is to shovel the snow off this winter. Should be no problem as the nubs for traction aren't that aggressive.

Answer:	Not 100% sure about stone steps but it sticks to our concrete steps.

Answer:	I wouldn't try, it's already peeling off my porch steps and it's only been a couple months

Answer:	i have them on my front stairs that has a roof over them. They feel like sand paper. They have been walked on by wet shoes as well as dry and mine still look good. If exposed directly to weather elements , I cant honestly give you an answer.

Question:	Are these easy to clean (I.e. with a wet sponge) or do they collect dog hair and dirt that is difficult to remove
Answer:	They absolutely do collect dirt, at least mine did. We had them on inside stairs, lots of traffic from kids and pets. They looked great at first but over time got build up dirt that won’t come out. They looked so bad we decided to take them up.

Answer:	No. Use a strong cleaning agent (with alcohol). If steps were properly with polyurethane, you won't have a problem.
Question:	Are these safe to use on indoor, painted wood stairs
Answer:	The non-slip adhesives are meant to be used on indoor painted wood stairs. We send an email after every purchase to our customers with installation, removal and cleaning instructions. If the wood stairs were not painted or stained properly, it is possible that the removal might be delicate. Question:	How do I clean them? Mine go so dirty nothing works. They trap every peace of dust they come in contact and on light floors it looks bad
Answer:	I was actually trying to find the answer to this as well. They look great when first applied but then over time they trap every bit of dirt and dust and it won’t come out. They look horrible!

Answer:	Rain...yes.. extreme temperatures... don’t know... trying it on outside steps in Upstate NY where we certainly get extremes.

Answer:	Better if the wood was dry. Our steps have a seam and the traction lays over that. Still on! I’d try to find a day when they are the driest possible

Answer:	We only used it on pressure treated wood. The back of the Non-Slip Tape is very sticky so it should stick almost everything but composite decking gets very hot in the sun so it might peel or slip under those circumstances. Just my opinion!

Question:	Will it stick to a metal (aluminum) ramp
Answer:	It's very sticky so I believe it would stick to it however, we found that if you apply these in warm or hot weather the glue gets a little thin and the strips slide around during application. If the aluminum gets hot I don't know if they'd stay in place especially on a ramp rather than flat stairs.
Question:	Can these be cut
Answer:	Yes. They can be cut with regular scissors. Probably should not use high quality scissors because the material will dull them.
Question:	Are these easy to remove? How would one remove them
Answer:	I haven’t tried to remove them but they have a strong adhesive on the bottom so you need to scrape them off
Question:	Will they stay during snow when you use a shovel on the steps
Answer:	Yes I live in Colorado and put them on my step deck steps. I have had them for two years now. Time to replace them because of my three dogs but they have been wonderful.

Question:	Will these work on our outdoor cement steps? where i live in northern virginia, we get ice and snow
Answer:	I suspect they will not work. I moved from Kensington, MD 3 years, so I'm familiar with the weather. I installed these on outdoor, wooden steps which receive a lot of moisture. The adhesive backing on these treads perform very poorly in wet conditions because the adhesive is water soluble. I used a stapler to fasten them to the wooden steps because other customers remarked that the treads come loose in wet conditions. Of course, for cement steps, using a stapler is not an option. I'm not sure what non-skid tread solution works for that material. You may want to look at vendors who provide treads for commercial applications to find something that works for your situation. Question:	Is it safe to use on hardwood floors? Will it damage the wood if I remove the tape
Answer:	I just installed them a few weeks ago. They were really necessary. My stairs are 90 years old, so I wasn’t concerned about adhesive damage. I think a product such as Goo Gone would work, if you don’t have to scrape to remove the tape. This was a more affordable solution for us than having a carpet runner installed. Hope this helped you!!

SIMPLE 4 STEPS INSTALLATION:

Step 1: It will have creases on the Non-Skid Strips when you received,no worries,we recommend to clean it,vertical suspension and air drying,then the sticky will be better.

Step 2: Clean the floor.

Step 3: Remove the paper liner.

Peel back the paper liner of the non-slip tape revealing the adhesive side of the tape.

Step 4: Apply the non-slip tape.

Apply the tape from one end to the other. Press on the tape once it is completely applied to make sure that is firmly installed.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:

-Anti Slip Tape Can be washed in a large machine or by hand.

-Do not use hot water to clean the treads.

-Can use some neutral cleaner appropriately, do not use Acidic and alkaline detergent, because it can accelerate aging of the stair mats.

IMPORTANT: 

Do not apply the non-slip tape below temperatures of 50°F (10°C) or during the winter months. Make sure that it won't meeting water in 24 hours after installing the tape.

Question:	Does the adhesive become less effective after being washed
Answer:	I have not washed them yet. I ordered the dark gray color and have not had them long enough that I felt they needed to be wached. We did lay them all and then decided we wanted them placed differently and they came up, and stuck back down perfect.
Question:	Do they work on stone stairs
Answer:	I don’t see why they wouldn’t. They have a tacky backing that keeps it from slipping.
Question:	Can these treads be trimmed? My stairs are only 1/4" or so smaller than 30". Some treads are bound at edge, and any trimming causes unravelling
Answer:	You can easily trim the treads if they don’t fit your stairs, it won't cause unravelling.
Question:	Anybody know where these are made
Answer:	No indication. The set came in a plain Brown box. The product is superb!
