Answer:	warranty for a year for the fan,5 year for the soalar panel, totally take responsible for damage or lost in transit. Any issue will be followed by professional customers service team.
Question:	Has anyone gauge the attic heat tempreture reduction as a result of using this
Answer:	I did not measure the temperature difference, but it did not seem to make a difference. The fan does run quite strong so I suspect that it does pull heat out of the attic (that is, after you reverse the fan in its shroud so that it blows outward). However, I was very disappointed, after the fan motor completely died after two years.
Question:	Can this get wet? Weatherproof
Answer:	I mounted it in the roof gable vent and covered it with the slotted vent cover, so it doesn't get wet unless the rain is horizontal. Anyway, the motor burned out after two years. I don't recommend this product. I'm going to remove it and install a hard-wired electric attic vent fan.
Question:	Can someone recommend a thermostat to install with this fan
Answer:	It does not have a place to plug in for a thermostat. I purchased a thermostat and did not use it. I have installed others that have a place to just plug a thermostat in. I would search for one of those fans.

Question:	so without the thermostat, does this fan run all the time while it is light out
Answer:	Yes, it runs continuously when it receives light. You may purchase a Broan thermoswitch which will shut it off if the temp is less than 50 deg F (which means it'll basicaly run all the time). I purchased the thermoswitch for the Natural Light brand because it turns on at 80 and off at 70 (added benefit: it's cheaper). For my climate in Los Angeles, that range is preferable (I would think the same in other climates, too). To install, just clip off the black male spade connector of the Broan and replace it with a female and reconnect with the switch in series. The wiring that comes with the switch is not used. It's easy and it works!
Question:	Can this fan sustain hurricane winds
Answer:	Our unit is located on the Ocean and we have had storms but no hurricanes since it was installed.
Question:	Can this be installed on a Terracotta tiled roof
Answer:	Only if the tiles are relatively flat. Broan's website indicates the fan is designed for a "shingled" roof. Not much clearance between the base and the fan housing, but it woks great.
Question:	Will these keep the dampness out of a shed? Shed is only 140 square feet

Answer:	I think they say onother sites like 600...but let me say a few things here do not be miss lead by their descriptions....1).It does nove air but if you put your hand by the flow you can barely feel it......2) It does not move constantly after charging or contantly as description says 3) I contacted customer service to figure out why mine only rens when in direct sun and I was only contacted bt email from an outscorced person from not only another country but another planet who couldn't answer my question or suggested I need to buy another unit if I wasnt happy with this one.....Do more research !!!!!!!! i probabbly would not buy this again !!!!!!!

Question:	What does ‘DBD’ mean
Answer:	The BDB stands for builder series which includes a 110 hybrid adapter to make your fan run at night if necessary.
Question:	What level of humidity is the humidistat set at? Are we able to also change the settings (raise or lower the threshold for both temp and humid monitor
Answer:	The thermostat and humidistat is factory set at 80° and 75% relative humidity. Once the fan since is more than 75% relative humidity in the attic it will turn on and back off down to 50%. This primarily is important in the winter when there is moisture in the attic that needs to get out. The settings are factory set and cannot be changed. Our Wi-Fi thermostat/humidistat (sold separately) will allow you to make changes.

Answer:	I have a 40watt and I purchased a 30watt for my daughter's house. Both are working well.

Answer:	The only difference is the shape on the 20 W fans. The larger fans in the builder series include a 110 V hybrid adapter which will allow the fan to run at night. Thank you for the question.

Answer:	As long as the sun is shining on the small panels it working. I’ve installed two in the roof of our RV & they seem to keep the moisture out

Answer:	It doesn't "blow air" as much as it gently moves air. It's more passive ventilation than an active blower.
Question:	What keeps water or rain from entering your interior
Answer:	There is a rubber seal bike gasket that goes around the outside of the ventilator. When you tighten down the screws it creates a seal. If you wanted to you could put some silicone on this gasket for peace of mind. I did not use silicone and I've had no leaks.
Question:	What is diameter of the hole needed
Answer:	The hole needs to be about 4 3/4 inches to mount.

How to test when you received the solar vent fan?

• Without battery version: take the solar vent out under the sunlight and turn the switch to either IN or OUT and wait for few seconds, the solar vent will start working.
• With battery version: Turn the switch to IN or OUT see if it's function.

Warm tips

1.The solar ventilation fan without battery version only works on daytime with sunlight, if your place is always with rainy day or with no sunlight, we would suggest you order the one with battery.

2.The solar vent fan is for small place such as yacht, boat, RV, trucks, dog house, vans, small greenhouse etc.. If your place is very big and wide then this vent may not be appropriate.

3.We suggest to install the solar vent horizontally and on a flat surface.

Answer:	There is a ridge around the bottom that prevents rain from coming in. I use mine on top of my observatory with a telescope underneath and everything stays perfectly dry.

Answer:	It doesn't close. the hood prevents rain from getting down the vent, but that might be a different story if your driving on the freeway in the rain - haven't had the opportunity to test that.

The Solar SlantBlaster Fan comes pre-installed on a 9" metal slantback roof vent with flashing (16"x30.3").

A 3W solar panel will be attached to the top of the vent hood by four unique, stainless steel clips

HOW MANY FANS SHOULD I ORDER FOR MY ROOF? We recommend one for every 600 sf of roof area. A typical home (1200sf) would take 3-5 vents. It is crucial that a home's attic is ventilated uniformly across the entire attic space. That is why most homes have numerous passive vents or ridge venting installed. The idea is that cool air will come in from the eave's soffit vents and run along the entire roof deck to escape at the top through the passive vents. This uniform air movement helps keep your roof's deck (the plywood, the trusses, and the rafters) dry and moisture free. It also helps keep your insulation's r-value from decreasing due to condensation dripping down from the roof deck.



DOES THIS FAN INCLUDE A THERMOSTAT OR ON/OFF SWITCH? No, it is not needed. Ideally, the fan should run in summer, to remove excessive heat, and in winter, to remove moisture due to condensation.

Answer:	This product will work with every pitch above a 3/12. We do not recommend it below a 3/12 pitch. For a installation below a 3/12 pitch please seal the base flashing completely with roofing mastic before installation.
