Answer:	Not sure why you would have it uncovered for extended period. We are just now installing for first time. Previous underpayment had no odor and once covered no odor year later. I think we will be just as happy with this brand

Question:	I plan to staple down 3/8" engineered flooring in the upstairs of a home over vinyl flooring. Will this underlayment work underneath
Answer:	If your floor is level, just pull up the old vinyl, put down this underlayment, and float the floor. There were a few areas where I had to staple to the subfloor over this underlayment, and it worked just fine. It's not that difficult, and I am certainly not a pro.
Question:	How is it different than roberts 70-193 super felt underlayment 360-feet square roll for sound reducing and absorbing ? Is it just bigger role
Answer:	Hi There!The felt is going to have an stc rating of 66, will be 3mm thick and will be made of felt with the built in vapor barrier. The Roberts First Step underlayment is going to also be 3mm thick, with a stc rating of 67. This underlayment will be made up of two sheets of plastic with polypropylene foam beads in between those. Answer:	If you're putting the laminate on a slab, I would use this as an additional barrier against moisture. Most laminate with the installed padding do not require underlayment.

Answer:	I have used this product over concrete and also over plywood and it has worked as intended however I used laminate over it never hardwood. For hardwood flooring I use a thicker material than this.

Answer:	If my memory serves me, the 40 inches wide is 36 inches of foam with a four inch clear plastic tab that sticks to the previous layer. The package I purchased was to fit 250 sq.ft, and it was a little short of 250. Estimate about 220 sq ft., But I skipped the closet so it worked fine. I used some leftover foam that I had.

Question:	Do samsung phones still have the issue where the phone forces the tile app to go to sleep even though the os is set to never allow tile app to sleep
Answer:	Yes. September 2020 and this is still a problem. I can never locate my phone with my key tag because of this. I have set the app to be able to locate on the background. In phone settings I have set it to 'never sleep'. Samsung and tile just don't get along. However, finding all the other stuff I lost works just fine. Just re open the app.
Question:	Was thinking about getting the 4 pack and give one each to my adult kids. Do they all 4 work separately so they each can have one
Answer:	Hi there, Great question! Absolutely! You can give your kids a Tile each. Tiles comes un-activated, and can only be activated once. They can open their own Tile account. To download the app its free, or you can activate the Tiles in your account, and then share the Tiles with each of them. Answer:	Hi there, Great question! You actually don't need to attach a Tile to your phone at all! One of Tile's core finding features is the ability to ring your phone using any Tile that is connected. Simply double-click the button on your Tile! Please be advised that this requires the app to be open and running within Bluetooth range, so make sure to leave the app running in the background of your phone. Question:	Does it smell chemicals?/ Thanks
Answer:	It depends on what type of floor you are laying. For floating floors such as click laminate or hardwood, it does not need to be glued. Tape the seams with duct tape and lay your floor. If you are glueing down hardwood, the cork needs to be glued to the subfloor.
Question:	Can i lay this on top of a hard wood floor and then put padding and carpeting over it to soundproof my floor to make it quiet for my neighbor below
Answer:	You can use either. Cork will transmit less noise. If the laminate is floating, you don't have to glue down the cork, just tape the seems. If you are gluing down the laminate, you would have to glue down the cork first. In either case, the 1/4" plywood would be stapled down with a pneumatic stapler (or screwed, but that is a lot of work). Staples every 4-5" in the body of the plywood, every 2" around the edge. This is assuming that you have a plywood subfloor, not concrete.
Question:	Would this help dampen the sound of a treadmill? I live in a 2nd floor apartment
Answer:	Cork is an outstanding insulator and can be used under the radiant heat elements - typically on concrete. I have radiant heat floors in the bathrooms. I did not use cork underlayment however because I live in Florida and did not have to concern my self too much with the time to heat a floor. I did talk with the manufactuer (Warm Touch) and they suggested underlayment (like Cork) under radiant heat if you are in climates where it gets cold. It allows the floor to heat quicker and reduce heat losses into the subflooring. I used this product under all my wood floors - it is awesome. Cork is a sustainable product, moisture resistant and bugs do not like it.
Question:	We will be installing strand bamboo over our concrete slab. Is this cork underlayment all we need or should we install a moisture barrier too

Question:	Can any one please tell me how wide is this material
Answer:	The Velcro will stick to most surfaces as long as it has some flat surface to it. I felt the stickiness was pretty good.
Question:	can this be used under vinyl plank luxurious flooring
Answer:	Yes, but the worst part is the glue comes off door and falls off. My door faces West and gets hot. I wish there was a fix for this.

Answer:	You can fold it up to the measurement you want and use staples to staple it toghether, that is the fastest and easy way, it's works well for me.
Question:	Can this be placed under laminate that already has foam underneath it
Answer:	No top pocket. There is velcro around the top, left, and right sides. It comes with a roll of velcro with adhesive that you apply to your door frame. Works really well.
