Answer:	I purchased this product at a local store thinking 2 cans would knock it out. My tub was not far off from being white anyways. I performed the instructions on the can explicitly, and realized that this project was a lot more work than anticipated and that waiting a couple of days to add more paint wasn't a good option. I spayed one full can and covered almost all of the tub. There was very little difference after one coat, but I know that a second coat is generally when you see big color changes. I'm a rattle can pro. I've got awards to prove it. After waiting the required time, I started spraying a second coat. My heart sank. The second coat wasn't even close what I expected. I knew immediately that more cans would be needed. I drove 10 miles up the road and bought all 4 cans the store had. Going off the Sq ft of coverage presented on the front of the can I felt confident I had enough to cover the tub and add some extra for better protection. Went back home and applied all 4 cans thoughout 4 more coats applied evenly. I have never been more disappointed in all my life. I honestly considered the equipment that fills the cans with paint must have been faulty and I bought that batch. No area of the tub made it to being fully white. There were still sanding marks showing through SIX coats of paint. Needles to say, I should have researched it before getting that deep into it, but that's my mistake and I learned the hard way. The 2 part application kit from rustoleum is by far the superior application method and you can buy 2 kits cheaper than I spent to fail miserably. If you buy this product, you will be disappointed.

Answer:	I am not sure, I'd see what the instructions say or contact the manufacture. I used it on a standard mixture tile grout and it worked great.

Answer:	I have used it on 'wet areas' such as around the basin and also the tiles above the sink with no problems. Just made sure the areas were dry first and then after applying let it dry and also used a small heater placed about 1.5M away from it to 'bake' it in for an hour. Still looks white and new. Haven't used it on shower floor tiles though!

Question:	Is this item durable
Answer:	I can assure you that this item is not durable. There is absolutely no way you can wipe it without the paint peeling off. I am very annoyed because I sanded and prepped as directed but when I painted my spare sink it just dripped and blobbed. Second coat only got worse. Third coat - same - plus brush marks everywhere. Two months later the paint is just peeling off all over the surface of the sink. Seeing as this paint is as thin as water it is not surprising that you cannot use it on a vertical surface like a sink. The sink is flat looking with no sheen whatsoever. I can't use this sink now, and will just have to replace it.

Answer:	I think there is a good chance that it will adhere well to your fireclay sink. My only hesitation in recommending the product is its poor pigmentation (coverage). You can apply several coats and it will take several coats but in my case I was not satisfied with the color coverage.

Answer:	You’re not doing anything wrong had the same issue what I did was removed what I had put on and put in A body putty that dried white then recovered with the product The only thing that I could see you would have to do is may make that area a little thicker to lessen the bleed through on color

However, it wouldn't be as easy to clean and maintain, such as semi-gloss. I hope this helps.

Question:	why would the second coat bubble up and peal off. How do you repair the peeled off sections. Tried to recoat and bubbled up and peeled again
Answer:	Same problem. I believe the issue with me is that the bathroom temp was around 90. For this paint to dry properly the label says 65 - 90 degrees and less than 80% humidity. I turned my A/C down and monitored the temp in the bathroom. It was about 78 and no bubbling occurred, so I assume the temp was the problem. I assume with this type of paint, temperature is very important. Unless your a professional painting in really cold weather, who really pays attention to that aspect of the process? Not me.
Question:	Has anyone had trouble with product peeling or chipping after a few years? If it won't last at least five years my landlords won't let me use it
Answer:	The trick to preventing peeling or chipping is to ensure that you thoroughly clean off any residue that might prevent the product from properly adhering to the surface. Follow the directions carefully and sand the surface to ensure it is rough enough for the product to get a good bite on it. Follow the directions for the proper solvent to remove oil and fingerprints. This product hardens to a rock hard surface and will last many years. Let it cure for at least 3 days before getting the surface wet.
Question:	what kind brush I have to use it
Answer:	I used small 4 inch foam rollers for a smooth finish. The problem i ran into was that the stuff would break down the foam. so if you do use the foam rollers get about 6 (depending on the size of the area you are doing.) as soon as you see a roller starting to tear, swap it out! It will start leaving small pieces on the surface which can make it sharp and rough. So make sure you have enough for the job! i used 3 rollers over 3 coats on my shower and tub. I should have used 2 rollers per coat at least and wanted to do 3 coats but didnt have any rollers! And make sure the area is WELL ventilated!!! The fumes are horrible!
Question:	How much am I suppose to be sanding? I took some 220 grit and then 400. The 400 felt like it was sliding on glass. Also I have an etching design on the bottom of the tub that is lots of circles. Is that a problem
Answer:	We used120 grit first to the whole area looked dull then we went over the whole are with 400 grit to make sure it was completly smooth before treatment.the bottom was rough when we started after the sanding and paint it was completely smooth .

Answer:	Hello, although Stix is formulated to be applied to hard to coat surfaces without the need for sanding, it is recommended that proper surface preparation still be completed to enhance adhesion properties. Surfaces such as Formica, ceramic tile and glossy painted surfaces should be properly deglossed. Once applied, allow Stix® to cure for approximately 3 to 4 days to achieve maximum resistance to scrape off. However, Stix® may be topcoated with a quality latex or oil-based finish within 3 to 4 hours, depending on overall drying conditions. WARNING! If you scrape, sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC. EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN.
