Answer:	No. There is a power cord that comes from the motor and it gets plugged into a 110 with ground receptacle. The only other wiring done is for the safety eyes and they are hard wired.

Answer:	As I recall there is an extension kit (extra bar and chain) that you have to buy for over a certain height. I just don't remember exactly where the break point is. When I bought the opener it seems Amazon asked in the sold together if I needed it. Decko does have a web site.

Hello, thank you for your interest in our products. This remote control switch was designed for the left side of the handlebar (replacing the clutch bracket). Theoretically you could install the switch also on the right side, but then the symbols would be up-side-down and the cable - which usually comes out/is routed from the bottom of the switch then would be routed from the top of the switch. Aesthetically it would not be the best way/option - as said - it is possible but not recommended.

Question:	Can the led-light be removed or disabled
Answer:	It USED to be compatible with MyQ. I had it configured for the last two years, working fine, and hooked up to Amazon Key for garage deliveries. Today, for unrelated security reasons, we had to reset all the remote codes on the 850LM and re-add them. Now the MyQ app will NO LONGER allow you to pair with the 850LM. It is not a technical limitation, it is a product marketing decision. I suspect they want to force people to shell out hundreds of dollars to upgrade their whole garage door system if they want internet access. It's a very lame decision by liftmaster to break something that was ALREADY WORKING.
Question:	How can i turn off/on the led light without opening the garage door
Answer:	The 850LM acts the same as a simple doorbell switch. If your Genie opener has contacts for a remote wired switch, then it should work. Just connect it to the same two contacts as the switch, and connect it to a power supply. I purchased a LiftMaster 811LM transmitter for use with my 850LM receiver. It's cheap, and works very, very well. A 813LM transmitter will also work.
Question:	How do i make this wifi compatible? it says wifi compatible on the box, but it turns out it is not after i installed it
Answer:	It's basically a set of buttons that can be remotely activated. Supports up to 3 buttons to control up to three 1-button openers or one 3-button opener. Supports both NC and NO type on channel 3 for stop buttons. Remote not included, just get a new liftmaster 3 button and it will work. I went with a 4-button remote, I control the 3 channels of this receiver for my shed and the 1 button opener on my attached garage with 1 remote.

Question:	Is there any adjustment for downforce? Mine is reversing and going back up (aggravating) 2 or more times
Answer:	I would check the stop on the door end of the track to make sure that it hasn't moved. It gets adjusted when the door opener is installed with the door in the closed position. Its purpose is to turn off the opener as the door touches the floor. If it doesn't, the opener detects excessive downforce as the door pushes against the floor and reverses itself. Check the install instructions to learn how to adjust the stop.
Question:	Has anyone had a chance to compare this to a belt driven opener as far as speed and noise
Answer:	This was an upgrade from a belt driven opener. It is MUCH quieter but also much slower. It takes about 20 seconds to open and about the same time to close.

Answer:	If you mean "Does it detect an obstruction in the way of the closing door?", the answer is Yes. If you mean "Does it turn on the inside garage lights when there is motion in the garage?", the answer is No. This is absolutely the best garage door opener I have ever bought...definitely worth the extra money. Their customer service is incredible, too.
Question:	Has anyone had any durability issues with the Sommer, or had to use the warranty
Answer:	Well after 6 years ours finally died yesterday. Smoke started coming from the lighting section (not the motor) and then the garage door moved slowly until it stopped. It will be interesting to see how that warranty is holding up.

Answer:	I just moved into my house and there was not anecessarily opener. The opener we bought needed a mounting kit because the ceiling was finished. I would refer to your instructions for the opener.

Answer:	no, just buy the channels at Lowes

Answer:	Yes. We received 2 openers. Each opener comes with a wall mount controller, a 3 button vehicle remote, a track mounted deadbolt , a light fixture and a battery for the backup control. Cell phone pictured, however, was not included.
Question:	can it be installed right or left side? I have two garage doors and would like to place side by side, is that possible
Answer:	You can put them side by side. I wanted to do this but they are rather large and did not fit well. I have a standard size 2 door setup. Overall, these are great openers.

Answer:	If you google the Liftmaster 8500w Manual, you would find on page 5, the input specification is 120 Vac - 60 Hz, ONLY. Current 1.5 Amp. LED Light current (independently powered) = .2 Amp.
